But, there is no banning in the game- at least for using mods, trainers, glitches, or the save game editor. The game is not competitive so no reason. I guess if you created ways to consistently screw with other players you could conceivably be banned...but never heard of it happening.
Now you have me wondering what a trainer would add to the game that is not already available via a customized save.
One last thought. Be aware that the game is very basic with MP sync to begin with. Depending on what your mods do, the other player may see very different aspects than what you see.
Common sync issues include angry critters, storms, and pirate attacks for one while it is a nice normal situation for the other player.
Hell, the game now has built-in cheats. You can do over half of what that trainer offers with the new(is) custom difficulty options.
Let the guy play however he wants.
I know some of this can be a grind. That I understand. But most everything is very easy. I rarely ever die, even on the harder difficulties. I breezed through the leviathan expedition back when it was death=reset.
Post expedition I bust in on sentinels and show them the meaning the phrase: beep boop.
If it is the grind, then I can understand. They (HG) need to lighten up on the grind in some places. Grind does not replace true difficulty. This is not an MMO. It can have multiplayer and community components but those have been soggy noodles lately. Nanites and even quicksilver, could use some massaging in some areas. Still I haven't gotten bent out of shape enough to use a trainer.
I don't run marathons, (42Km), I drive that distance, but some people like to run them. As we're not competing neither of us gives a fiddlers elbow how the other covers the distance.
"How dare you employ the use of a trainer!" the troglodyte snarled, as he loaded his freshly edited save, sighing and muttering "the nerve of some people, honestly" as the load process completed.
Seriously though. If the developers don't care how a person enjoys the game, then why should you?
