you have only one of each exocraft... if you go to another planet, build an exocraft platform, and instantiate that craft, the one you may have on some other planet will come to the platform... once you have one, there's no way to get rid of it other than to leave it on some planet and never use it again... you still have it but it is just not there...
you can also use someone else's exocraft platform to call your exocraft of whatever type that platform is for... you don't always need to build your own platform...
so yeah, which mission is it, exactly, and do you have any other missions active that may be blocking this one? generally speaking, if you have something a mission wants you to construct, the game will generally go ahead and complete that mission when it sees you already have whatever it is...
maybe you can take a screenshot of your mission tab and post it so we can see what you have going on?
I've summoned the Nautilon (not "Nautilus," I guess), but that didn't work. The wiki says I need to craft a Hydrothermal Fuel Cell. I'm not sure I've done that AFTER I got this mission (since I had all of this stuff before that), so I'll try it.
But it tells me to craft the Nautilon, and there's just no way to do that, since I've already got one (and can't get rid of it).
Well, I've already got almost all of the mission rewards, so I could just ignore this one. It's not a big deal. But I'm still going to work on it. Thanks!
Be sure to mark the sight with a save beacon, or better a base computer. You will thank me if you decide to quit out of the game in the middle of things.
Use your ship to travel between the locations- you can almost always find a small island fairly close to the next location- call in the sub for the last little bit.
Be aware that two scanning systems are involved in the story. A few situations just require your normal scanner. The sub scanner gives you general categories to choose from. Until you get a feel for it, the process can be confusing.
Finally, I refueled it - even though the sub already had plenty of fuel - and that did the trick. Now it recognizes that I built it.
I haven't completely finished the mission, though I've gone a ways further. I already had all of the blueprints it's been giving me. But at least I can finish it.
Thanks for the help!
