you will have to try find mod(s) that are current that cover all (or most) of the things that mod did
It works, but the effect is quite different from when the mod was first released.
It has become quite noisy.
This is my guess, but I think it may be due to a change in the build data file specifications.
For example, the previous universe had three image data files (stars, gas, and nebulae), each of which was combined as a layer, and the mod removed the gas and nebulae.
However, the specifications changed and the "image" or composition of the layers was changed or added and no longer consistent.
Recently, you can clearly see that the image has been changed to one with varying sizes of stars.
It could be better in the future, although it is a long shot.
I can't say for sure, as this is all up to the author.
The mod in question has them all disabled.

Usually there are also "posts" and "bugs" sections, but not at DSM page.
maybe because its an old mod maybe?
For comments, the authors have multiple choices, including the default "comments" section that most mods have, but you can also turn on a threaded discussion if you wanted to, and you can disable any and all comments and discussions if you want.
The setting is on a "per mod" basis, and under the control of the person who created the mod. Mod authors who do not wish to see user feedback of any kind disable the comments and discussions.
why put a mod on nexusmods if not to share it
then to not take any feedback?
if they can't be bothered, then neither can i
I disagree. Some mod authors are only putting the mod up because they made it for themselves and figured "hell, why not share it", but have zero interest in actually listening to what anyone else has to say about the mod.
I think that's a fair position to take as a mod author, because users in general only comment for one of three things:
Personally, I like to leave comments on in case there is a real problem that I didn't find in my own testing, but the simple fact is that 9 out of 10 comments are for one of the above 3 reasons, across all of my mods. I just delete the comments (usually without even replying) in those instances.
those are the cons
the pros
i like to thank an author if i find the mod particularly good for me
for authors who aren't glued to the game, sometimes the comments are the first notice that their mod no longer works and needs to either be repaked or might need to be 're-coded'
it's also nice to be able to suggest things to the author ...no obligation or expectation (well from me anyways)
and yes i've seen some nasty comments, but then that's life ...there's always some
but the most important thing is people expect from mod author to do the things they won't bother or do not want to learn for themselves.
^^ LOL OMG LOL ^^

I like more color in my space, personally, especially since it isn't a real universe at all, so I don't use that version of the mod myself, but Exo's mods are being actively maintained, so they are still working, and you can see if it is what you want.
