Disable other Player Bases, Comms etc?
Hi there! I like to play without Multiplayer and disable it in the options.
But the thousands of Player build bases and messages around all mission targets driving me crazy.
Painful to aim the real mission goals within tons of bases ,savepoints and these useless text messages.

any way to disable or hide the player constructs ?

No. But at least you only have to deal with the annoying things on expeditions and community anomaly missions.

I am not sure bases are loaded with multiplayer off, then again i only notice this on expeditions.

I'm gonna give you one thing though, disabling comms would be welcome. A lot of idiotic political animosity from every side that there is leaks into the game thanks to those stupid messages. Props to the mad lad who was posting the vaporeon comms though.

Yes, you need to play the game entirely offline.

To do that, from the Steam Client menu, select "Steam" -> "Go Offline" before launching and playing No Man's Sky. Playing offline works entirely fine for everything in the game, except comm balls, bases, save points, discoveries etc. of other players won't show up in your game.

The only downside is that you also will not have a connection to the Discovery servers.
If you care about having things you discover actually get populated to the servers, you should play while not Offline every few days, at least long enough for uploads to go through (you absolute CAN upload data while offline, and get nanites for it even, your save will just queue up the actual data until the next time you aren't offline).

They are, as are comm balls. Playing entirely offline is the only way to avoid them.

Thank You! That helped me.
No annoying Bases Text or other stuff.
just Steam in offline mode.

I have played a bit in offline mode but mostly for playing the older versions of the game.

@Perfex - can you claim the milestone rewards in offline mode? I would guess yes but a confirmation would be great.

Thanks

You can, yes.

That said, It is advised that you go online to claim the phase and final expedition rewards, just to be sure it syncs to your account file properly. It's supposed to sync up when you go online even if you've claimed them already, but there are reports of players who had issues with that.

Completely agree. I don't want to go to random Joe two platforms aka base. But it is impossible to aim. I hope devs can at least allow to turn off priritizing it over objectives.

going offline on steam or blocking NMS access to internet doesnt help hide other players bases .. boggles my mind that people beg for this for years but no yet people talking how this game redeemed itself while you cant even find your own base amongs dozens of others .. all same icons ..
It used to not bother me, but I'm trying to scan moons at a distance to see if I've been there or if it has stuff I need. All I can "target" are these bases made by players I guess are trying to be "helpful". I like doing Expeditions on my own without them spoiling the adventure. Need a HUD filter or something, I'm going to try offline mode.

I have begged at Zendesk to give us the option to turn all this off, don't allow bases or comm balls at rendezvous destinations or anything to help clean up the space trash. It falls on deaf ears. I encourage them to play the game and see how cluttered everything is - just try to find a moon with all the crap showing up - and I did the Expedition day 2. I cannot imagine how bad it is now.

Another method is to buy the game on GOG and launch it directly from the NMS.exe with GOG Galaxy not running in the background. I used to play this way before we got high speed internet. You will never see any other player's stuff and they won't see yours. It's a totally single player experience, without having to do anything weird.

I bought the game on sale for half price twice, so really I only paid full price. Totally worth it! :)

I would prefer to not have to read the political stuff, too. Part of enjoying the game is some escapism. I deal with politics irl, don't need it in my game. I've taken to report comms that contain those kind of messages. Don't know if it helps, but I'm hoping that there might come some solution if enough people complain.
