Report a translation problem
Since the Interceptor update, I've been playing on permadeath or worse, and have not noticed the dissonant planets being unusually extreme. Basically, they all used to have aggressive sentinels, before the corruption set in, but with the usual mix of hazard and weather types.
In fact, all the tropical/paradise planets that have been corrupted now have gravitational anomalies instead of superheated storms, which makes them a lot of fun: you can basically just fly around everywhere, with fairly minimal upgrades, for as long as the "gravity storm" lasts!
(I'm in VR, so I use rocket boots instead of the melee-boost trick, and the airburst brakes that allow recharging while falling. With those, and even just one or two additional movement upgrades, I can fly around really efficiently with just shorts bursts of the jetpack to maintain altitude, while the gravitational anomaly is in effect.)
Short answer. No, plenty of them are not extreme weather, not even with difficulty settings cranked all the way up. Some of them are even on downright mild planets.
You're just having bad luck. Though, if you are in a Harsh galaxy (such as Calypso), obviously it's going to be the norm.
My first 9 (not 10) were all extreme weather (<<<) without storms, furthermore storms seemed to be ongoing on top of one another, I could barely get out of the ship on those planets.
