That said, if you use DLAA you might want to check out and try what this thread talks about. For me it made a pretty significant difference on performance for the game.
I only have a 2060 though, so every little bit helps.
Chris Roberts is a criminal who has stolen more than 500 million $ (status 2022) from the people. He will never ever publish a finished game, just living like a lord with help of this stolen money. Just my personal opinion (and a bit off the original topic).
by the way, there are known win11gaming issues, if youre on w11 might need MS hotfixes or updates.
Yes, but honestly, I don't know how he pulled out that marketing trick because it's quite the achievement, props to him. I met quite a few dudes who were talking about that pseudo-game like some crazy cultists. If someday I need to start a business, I'll pay him, not for his game but for some marketing consultancy because in that matter, the guy is a master.
After it de spawned me I turned it off and will check again next year.
When they first offered an alpha to test, I checked it out about every 6 months or so but I have LONG since given up on it. I've never even had it installed on my current PC, which I got several years ago.
I'm hoping that I'm wrong about it being the gaming industry's biggest snake oil campaign and that, some day, my grand children might actually get to play it.
Once you figure out all the bugs, it's actually pretty fun. I've since spent maybe 1,000 hours in the game. The most recent update, just a few days ago, is supposed to really help with FPS/performance issues. I haven't even downloaded it though. I got pretty burned out already and until the 2nd star system is added (supposedly about a year from now) I probably won't play it much.
I never understood flexing gear for strangers on random forums. The 4090 is out there some people are going to own it, if you cant handle envy that is not my problem.
The fact is people are getting twice the fps on youtube videos with the same card and i was wondering if i was missing something important.
It's just kinda funny because you 'upgraded' from a card that will likely handle games with ease until the year 2030. the 3080ti is a BEAST.
perhaps your CPU has them both bottlenecked? or some other system component.
There are new drivers up today, maybe try them.
That might be the case, i have already ordered a 7950x3d system and im waiting on the ram to arrive.
The reason i ordered a new rig is simply cos of fomo. There was corona, made buying components a hell for some time, there is a war that sets the economy in motion, the U.S banking system is starting to fail all over again and i have the money to spend atm.
In 1-3 years when i want to have a faster rig, it might not be that easy to upgrade to and my economy might be a bit more strained. The 3080 Ti is a great card w/o a doubt for 1440p and w/o ray tracing.
The 4090 is a great card for 4k and ray tracing, with the 4090 i can max all out and hit that sweet constant 144/120 fps adaptive sync that i have on my 1440p gaming monitor and my 55" 4k 120 adaptive sync Samsung TV.
I also noticed that when i swapped GPU the mobo reset my Ram XMP profiles and ran slower then usual so i upped that again and now have a higher FPS in NMS.
