On the note of the Salvage Capsule, I suppose it's not much since nobody really creates intricate bases for the exp, but you're aware that deleted bases only provide 50% of the materials that went into their construction, right?
The problem with absolutes is that they are never accurate. (See what I did there).
And yah, I know it's only 50%, but I'm lazy and am willing to take the 50% hit to not have to delete every individual piece at a base I am removing. I just delete the things that take more uncommon materials and am satisfied with a 50% return on the rest.
Yah, you don't have access to it during the expedition. The thing is, I've finished it. And converted my save. And I still cannot build a base salvage capsule.
So my question to you is, how did you build one at your 'normal base'?
If you would like, you can drop by and visit that base.
I tried google searching to see if I could find any threads that mention it, but with all the search results I only read a few (where it wasn't mentioned). I'm just going to push through and get a freighter to see if that's accurate.
Holy crap, it didn't even occur to me that you can visit someone else's base and use THEIR salvage capsule. Wise idea.
P.S. How did you visit one of your other character's bases? Two accounts as well?
Edit - yes, two accounts
EDIT: I thought I had it, but for the life of me I can't find it. I did find reference to it being awarded, but it looks like a silent script fix rather than a discreet reward. The wiki is of no help either. It would be entertaining if it's awarded by freighter progression as it can't be placed on freighters any longer.
I'm recompiling my combined-mods file now (will take about 20 minutes), so it will be a bit before I get back to it. I am fairly confident that I'm remember correctly about it getting added when you get a freighter, so I'm going to go on that assumption until I actually get a freighter to see if that's right.
I always play my expedition saves for a while after finishing an expedition. I quite enjoy the part of the game that happens before you get everything all maxed out and upgraded, so it's an excuse to go through that all again.
i did check the wiki but there is no note there about when or how you get the BSC... only that you get a blueprint for it... according to the no man's sky resources web site, the BSC is available "from the start"... whatever that means...
after some more rooting around on the 'web, it seems that you get the blueprint when you get a freighter... hummm... idk and i don't think i'm going to do the expedition again just to see when the BSC appears...
FWIW: i do also note that it only appears in your build menu when you are at a planet-side base... it is in the very bottom section of the build menu that has the teleport for its tab icon...
