You absolutely need to fine-tune the settings in NMS to achieve a enjoyable performance. Do not use DLSS, it will smear badly in the headset.
Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-52LE Ordinateur Portable Gaming 15,6'' FHD IPS 144 Hz, PC Portable Gamer (Intel Core i5-11400H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti, RAM 16 Go, 512 Go SSD, Windows 11)
its unplayable!.. I just change my pc and the old one was worst but the game runs.. whats happen?..
works great on my amd gpu
(joke btw before anyone gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥)
I do not have issues with my RTX2060. In the meantime I found a config that's really crystal clear and does not use DLSS.
Do you mean you just found some kind of sweet spot for your PC? (Maybe this is an issue for me cause Laptop is still far away from PC power even though on paper I have superior Specs)
Results? Worse than ever, some VR feature have been removed or probably are missing due of some unresolved bugs, performances have greatly decreased. At the moment the VR side of this game is in a pre alpha status barely playable.
Do not expect any kind of short term improvements, we waited for a VR upgrade since the VR was released back in the days and look at the results.
VR is always subject to the sweet spot of your machine. There is no universal config or a one-size-fits-all config for everyone, as rigs are different for person to person.
As I said - you need to fiddle with the settings - in-game and SteamVR as well as your drivers possibly and in some cases Windows tuning is also needed. I can't speak what that is gonna be for you, but VR is always much more demanding than flatscreen gaming - so adjustments, and compromises need to be made.
You either sacrifice fidelity for performance, or the other way around. For most I guess it will be the former - and that is where you have to find the sweet spot so that you still have some fidelity, and performance that's good enough for you.
