"Utopia" is actually the STAR WARS Expedition.

Just finished the expedition, which was an absolute blast... Especially as A Star Wars fan...

Edit: Actually you guys are right; it does look more like the Hoth Speeder.. more to my point..

Fearsom Visor reward is a clear reference to Darth Vader

Hologram of a talking Gek mimics the chat holograms used in several of the movies.

The "Planetary Base Poster" and "Bespoke Banner" almost could be a reference to Batuu or Mos Eisley.

The Robo-Warden Egg could be a reference to the Marksman-H Training Remote aka *Droid like sphere used to train Luke Skywalker with a lightsaber"

and lastly (this one is kind of a stretch but...) The awarded title "Dignitary" stands for a person viewed with great importance due to high rank or office. This could also possibly be a reference to the title "Darth" used among members of the Sith Order, also meaning a person of great importance due to rank or office.

This has me hyped for more expeditions and more awesome pop culture sci-fi references!!!

Just one question... Now that we have a new ship, will randomly generated versions now appear with other ships across the universe? or will it simply remain an exlusive expedition reward?

Wonder if they worry about lawsuit for copying hoth speeder? Or is it changed just enough to avoid such issues. Gray instead of white. No harpoon gun.

New ship does pilot well and great canopy view. Needs some color.

Is it Hothish then? First thing i thought of when i first saw it was HOTH. I have 100s of hours flying speeders in games , so flashbacks from piloting it as well.

HG makes a lot of nods to various sources of inspiration. The rocks that sprout legs and run away when you shoot them is an obvious nod to Monty Python. I have seen some other visual jokes. Most have been removed from the game at this point but they existed.

Ahh, okay, I knew there was something going on here.... I don't really know much at all about Star Wars, so I didn't pick up on any of the references, but I definitely had a feeling they seemed to be referencing SOMETHING.
Now the whole expedition makes a lot more sense! I didn't think it was a particularly interesting or fun expedition but I'm also no SW fan. Clearly they were trying to appeal to a different crowd. That is disappointing, but it's fine... better than them just screwing it all up, I guess.

Regarding question posed by OP, it is not clear if the new ship will randomly spawn on normal games moving forward. The golden vector didn't, but the sail ships did. If you don't mind missing the hunt, you can access all expedition rewards on any save by visiting the quicksilver shop on the anomaly.

Zero risk of that. The Utopia fighter only vaguely resembles the Snow Speeder.

I think the mask looks more like Kilo Ren's mask than Vader's.

Given that the first Star Wars movie is a mashup up of Hidden Fortress, Dune, and Dam Busters, they really don't have the moral authority to sue anyone.
