Since when do we have to pay nanites for an expedtion reward ship?
I may be utterly wrong but I do not recall having to pay anything to claim an expedition reward ship of any kind.

I havent seen any posts regarding this so Im curious to know

maybe they did it so that not everyone would fly around with the Vector in gold on a new expedition or sell it for a few millions.

Makes sense. TBH Im surprised they havent been doing it for all the S class ships in previous expeditions. 1400 nanites is not too bad after all

When I paid for mine it did not actually take any nanites off of me!

Oh I didn't even look to see if it had taken any

Now that would be an awesome solution! It has always irked me a bit that we can create a new save (think expedition) and as soon as we can get to the nexus, we can claim our S-class Golden Vector. For all the nerfing HG has done of late, to allow this is inconsistent. Making us have 1,500 nanites before we cam claim our S-class ships (now two of them with Fractal) means that we have to have played the game and advanced our character a bit first. Smart move imo. But if they don't actually take the nanites from you, you only need to have earned them, that is not only smart, but creative!

BTW it's a tad more than 1,400 on max settings....

Interesting your ship is different. Mine had no engine upgrades, and had positron with upgrades on the switch.

Just picked mine up at my main save and I didn't get any nanites deducted either.
it's 100% free it does not actually cost anything the cost is a display bug.

Except when I'm looking at the ship the Buy and Exchange buttons are greyed out because I don't have 3500 nanites for the Iron Vulture :steamsad:

You don't. You pay for the one, you copy from the expedition, the one that the vendor gives you is free.
At the same time, you can copy it from the expedition, infinite times (for nanites), getting as much ship parts as you want.
