If this still works, you will need to set your price point on the ships you will want to buy and then log all the ships in the system that meet your price point.
Also there used to be a system in Galaxy 10, that had a double exotic first spawn that was pretty good for farming storage augments.
This was before Waypoint 4.0 so I am not sure if any of this still works.
Also, you can reset the mission until you get a mission with a storage augmentation as a potential reward for some of them. It is a hit and miss method but does work.
I've used that method for augments and salvaged frigate mods. Note that you will take a rep hit if it's a delivery mission, so don't reset those. If you haven't reached max level you can also end up resetting the mission above your rep level so keep that in mind.
