Lost the Purge Target

Mission target is in another galaxy. Consult the galaxy map.

It's gone. Can't find it. Selecting "Current mission" to guide just shows lines going to five systems away.

None of the stations available at the Space Station teleporter show the mission icon, either.

This has happened to me before. I should just learn from my mistake and just do the final purge mission when I have it. Or build a base there. Because I always lose it thinking I'll find it again later.

Go to the Log, select the mission, and at the bottom of the information box there should be a button that lets you restart the mission with local structures. You might need to be in an Atlas system.

What part of the Purge are you on? I assume you did the 16 jumps and are either on the step where you have to use a portal? Does it not let you update it to use nearby POI's, to grab a different portal?

?? Mission target is another Galaxy? or System? If you teleported or jumped galaxies then how deep could you be?

This is a known glitch that's been affecting players for years. The restart button was added to circumvent this glitch.

Jaggid, the very last mission -- find the portal.

Stones, I haven't jumped galaxies. Still in Euclid. But I am many, many systems and more than a couple of black holes away from when I got the mission and ignored it for later.

I may have missed the restart button in my current frustration. Lemme check.

Can't for the life of me figure out how to get a good Steam F12 shot (instead of NMS) that both shows the address, but hides all the photo mode stuff.

I've done it, too. Can't get *just* the address to show, though.

The screenshot thing annoys me too, I can't get a hi-res shot easily

If you wait a few seconds before taking the shot with F12, the photo mode stuff that is NOT the portal address auto-hides itself before the portal address does. That gives you a window of opportunity to take your screenshot with only the portal address showing.
