Stuck in the Main Quest "Awakening"
Hello everybody,

I'm playing NMS since Monday, so I'm quite new in this Game.
My friend started a Multiplayer Session on Monday and I've joined him.
We both startet with a "New Game". On the Planet where we started, we both, first, had the same missions.

After a while the "Main Quest" told me to go to another Star System.
When I open the Galaxy Map I see a "green line" which leads to my actual Target-System for my Main Quest.
I've already did about 10x jumps, following the green line, but it looks like I'm not coming closer. I absolutely have no Idea how many jumps need to be done to reach my destination. I cannot see the end of this "green line".

Does any one have a proper solution for my problem?
Does any one have an idea how to help me?
Is it possible that I destroyed the "Main Quest" of my Savegame, cause I was joining a Multiplayer Game from the very beginning?

I really have no Idea what to do. Would be a bit frustrating If I woud loose my progress on this Savegame.

Thank you for your help.
Horry

If this is your first direction to go to another system, it doesn't matter which one you pick. When you get to the system you should get a message.

Hello, it seems not like I could choose "any system".
When you open your "Missions log" (Protocol), you can choose between your "Main Quest" and "Side Quest". When I choose my current "Main Quest" here, it shows me a "Green line" on the Galaxy Map ... I have to to many, many, many jumps and cannot see the end of the "Green line" ... If I choose another Quest, I see other destinations.

(I cannot describe better; but did I destroy my Main Quest here?)

After your first system jump, you should have gotten a message about hyperdrive being empty and the message should have sent you to a planet and you should have gotten warp fuel. At least that is what happens with multiplayer turned off. Then you need to scan the planets (might jump back to your base because you might have a base computer mission to do here).
You should not have to hyperjump more than once or twice and you don't have to follow any lines for the Awakenings quest line. The Anomaly quest lines are not the Awakening quest line. I think the Awakening line changes to Artimis line

I don't want to say too much because spoiler, but the Anomaly quest line is different from the Awakening quest line. But you have to go to the Anomaly for the Awakening quest a few times.

Also at the top of the galaxy map on the left you should see a drop down box, on pc you can change it with the left and right arrow keys (also right click with mouse will change active mission) Right side drop box is economy and race and will change with up and down arrow keys. I am not sure about the control keys for console.

pretty sure that green line quest is the one where it's telling you to go to the center of the galaxy, which takes 4,000 jumps or so.

Thank you guys for your support,

I will try.

@JJ SilverWhite: Does everyone has this quest and has to do "around 4.000 jumps to get to the center of the galaxy"? Isn't there a short way or a portal to use instead?

You can always find a game file editor that will allow you to know all of the glyphs, and place you where you want to be. Or use a trainer to the same effect. Playing solo it does not effect anyone yet yourself, multiplayer with a friend and do it the old-fashion way and enjoy the ride.

If you get the First Glyph, then you can get Specific Planetary Charts from a Cartographer on a Space Station. (With The same item you can use to Call Your Ship to a Trade Station Pad)
"Alien" Charts. Find a Monolith, usually with Stairs, and then Solve the Riddle, and then Supply the Need to Locate a Portal. Activate the Portal, and Put in The First Glyph 12 times.
You will end up about 5,000 LYrs from the Core.
