How the hell do I go to the galactic core?
I have a full hyperdrive, I am in the final rondevous system, but its not letting me warp there.

What control method do you use for the game? For Mouse and keyboard it's wonky, because you cannot just select the core and hold the mouse to go there, despite that being how most of us do system warps with M&kb.

You have to use the method which is more for controllers, which means stay in the galaxy map view where it centers you on the system you are currently in and finangle the mouse toward the galaxy center to get the 'warp line' heading toward it that you can then hold down the mouse to warp along that line.

If that's confusing, I agree. There's a ton of videos that explain and show it though. Here's one that I think keeps it simple.

There are TWO ways for warping between two points on the galactic map, but warping to the core from an "edge" star system must use only one particular method....and it's not the method most people use from jumping from one star to another. Using the mouse to select and launch a warp directly in a simple click is the first method...it's fast, obvious, and therefore may be vulnerable to mistakes.

Core jumping only uses the second method of warping where you (1) select the starting system, (2) point along the line it forms to another star (or galactic core) until that line gets highlighted, (3) hold the activate button on your mouse for 10 full seconds. This second method of jumping is really clunky to use on a PC, but I think it was devised to make console players happy, as that is the way they do things all the time, even though it is slower. But being a slower method makes it IDEAL for core jumping because, I guess, the designer wants you to savor the moment of the jump before it happens for a long time. And I guess it also gives you time to recall if you packaged up all your breakable stuff and bail if in time if you forgot.

The raison d'être of porridge is to overcook it. There is no limit. Mush is mush.

How to Galactic Core ====> (Over) Cooking Porridge

Gotta love the Steam forums

Edit: changed my mind
This is just a suggestion mind you, we of course have to abide by Steam forum rules but... perhaps, those that can only post "diatribes"... should, oh I don't know... maybe not pollute the forum with their excrement... pretty sure Reddit is super friendly.. give those good fellas a "hey!" when you arrive and tell 'em Geldric sent you.
