None that I've seen. They've all has some biome level atmospheric effect / danger. There's supposedly airless moons, I think, but everything I've seen looks very atmospheric planet(y).

Well you are in a space suit so even if there are you'll be relatively protected.

Not sure if there are moons but I'm hoping for moons

There are moons, as in they revolve around the planet but as for like a moon similar to earths idk. I know some planets wont have life so maybe those wont have a type of atmosphere.

interesting question for a change in this forum. I don't know, we'll see. I don't expect them to reveal no footage before release date.

moons can theoretically have an atmosphere too

Any body can have atmosphere assuming it's solid and large enough to have gravity.

Yes I know. Thats not what im talking about. Hence the word similar. Our moon has an atmosphere not much of one. Hes talking about a visible atmosphere.

Getting real tired of the wannabe space nerds not being able to read in here. And thinking everything needs to be corrected. Stay on subject.

Regarding planets, I am hoping that planets follow a general rule, ie frozen ones are far from suns, hot ones are near etc.. he did say that planets will have moons and also that some will have rings around them. Likely some might even have several moons with different atmospheres. Basically, if it's in scifi.. or in another space game, it'll likely be in nms.
Im pretty sure he did say they follow that rule hotter desert planets are closer colder planets are further. Wasnt it one of the IGN videos?

Based on what the developers have stated in the past, probably. They have said that about 1% of the planets will have life. While 1% of that may have intelligent life. With this in mind, probably 99% will be uninhabited rocks or something else.

The reason why we have only seen "garden worlds" is because if they showed us 50 dead worlds with out atmosphere...fewer would be as interested. But at the same time it makes finding a garden world, or an inhabited world that much more special to the player. Kind of like the last cookie in the jar.

Yeh i think i saw it in the videos, but things change.. hopefully it'll be close to irl expectations and theory, without the simulation.. which is my expectation at the moment.

They have been pretty consistant on this. They are following the basic rules of planets. So...close to sun and it is hot. To far and it is frozen. Just right and it could be a little hot or cold, but there may be life...may be...
