If they based the galaxy on our galaxy then maybe, but even if it was in it, the chance of finding it would be EXTREMELY HARD.

Naw, its not. Not even a spirl galaxy. And no Gas Giants either.
Starbug Jul 7, 2016 @ 2:08pm
No gas giants, so no Sol system.

Each planet also has a 60/70s SciFi single biome planetary system, so if you land on a Hot planet, it will generally be hot/desert like all over, ignoring the sub-terrainian cave systems :)

why? you have the sims for that...
Can't. Planets have singular biomes and as such the whole fact that earth has tundra, desert, forests of different variety, etc. would need to be tossed out. Also I imagine it'd be hard to put in something affixed if the whole universe is procedurally generated.

Specifically? No, Sol and its accompaniment of planets is not in the game.

That said, as it's procedurally generated, and has an unfathomable population of star systems, it's not unreasonable to consider that there are, by process of procedural generation, some systems that resemble our Solar System, to varying degrees of similarity.

I know if I were to discover such a system, identical to our own, I'd name the planets accordingly.
