HG Has Lost All Credibility

A game is not delayed this near to release. It simply isn't done. Less than 4 weeks out from release, it has already gone to print. The final version is set in stone and production has ramped up full-speed to get it to store shelves on time. If No Man's Sky was delayed, it was MONTHS ago. We are only hearing about it now because that information was forcibly suppressed to keep milking the pre-orders from well-intentioned consumers who understood it to be set for a June 21 date. Whether by Sony or HG doesn't matter. HG has been in press overdrive for the last several months and could have announced it any time if they'd chose to. They didn't. My anger and that of any other reasonable consumer over this situation is for the deception, not the delay. It speaks to the lack of honesty and integrity from HG and we have a right to be outraged. I cannot remember another AAA title -ever- being delayed this late. Logistically, it's impossible for the halt to have been placed only recently. It had to come a long time ago, which begs the question: Why weren't we told sooner?!!!!

Popular theory right now is that it sucks on PS4 so Sony pushed back the launch. HG should have started making hard copies by now so obviously these "polishing" issues must have been known for a while now.

All Sony does is print the game. They have NOTHING to do with development or the release date. And GTA5 was not delayed 3 weeks out from release.

What bothers me is that they would have waited even longer had the news not gotten leaked.

Then they post an insulting (couple of weeks is not 2 months) announcement on one website and make no changes to their official dates posted everywhere. Really wanted Sean Murray and HG to be different, but getting a real Molyneux vibe lately.

Exactly, GummyWyrm. They've known about this delay for weeks if not months by now. To address it that flippantly and dismissively when it's obvious they kept the information hush-hush to sell more pre-orders is reprehensible.

usually at this point in game development when it was that close to the release date they usually are making the disks and getting ready to ship them out. Not doing "last minute" adjustments to it. I have a feeling there is a much bigger issue with the game they arent telling us about

That's what you get when you get in bed with Sony. They make you sign a contract to make the game semi-exclusive for their platform and in return you get 'free' promotion. It's essentially the same publishing sceme as the 90's, but these independant developers gladly suck on the money c*ck because they think they are being offered such an amazing oppertunity :')

Don't buy their game, that will show them...

One pirated copy of the game will not take a lot from them. yep. And if there will be one million? Think about it. Especially without the multiplayer it does not make sense in the licensed version.
