Except the chances to find someone else will be much lower than DayZ.
But even so, you should play online, just so you can name stuff. As far as I know, lobbies only get created when there's someone else near you, and if you're alone, stuff gets saved locally and only major events will be uploaded to the server. So I don't think the internet will be such a big issue in this game.
I think your biggest issue is with downloading the game initially and any possible large updates in the future. What's your internet like with large game downloads normally?
