With No Man's Sky I know what I'm buying, I've seen a lot of gameplay already and I love all of it and it's not just exploring, it's so much more, survival plays a very big role here and there is crafting and progression, you need to work on getting better equipment and ships to reach the center of the galaxy.
The Battlefield 1 trailer was just a trailer, sure with real time graphics recorded from the gameplay but I've not really seen the gameplay itself! Don't forget that Star War Battlefront also looks stunning but I do not consider it a great game!
If I was forced to place a bet I would say you can't go wrong with NMS if you already like what you've seen. It's also a pretty unique game while Battlefield is another WW shooter, but now in WWI setting.
Just my 2 cents.
So ... can you manage to get another 60$ in about the 4 months that set them apart if you want to buy both ? Its 2 completely different games so there is no good way to compare them (
I've played every battlefield until hardline , i grew tired of those PVP types of games, i bough the season pass for BF4 and never used it so my choice is done.
NMS is in June, BF1 is in October, plenty of time to enjoy NMS, then switch between NMS and BF1.
