Unfortunately I can. Though, what I intended by "eventually" is the placement of my faith in the MODDING community. Granted they have to sift through all the ♥♥♥♥ the developers covered their game in, I've faith that some time soon(ish) the amazing PC MOD Community will rise this pile, elevating it to a game worthy of my childhood dreams.

In this one You can type in the seed for the ship You want. There's already a nice list of possible ships available in comment section. Multi-tool list is also nice. Just keep in mind that this tool has to be used in a command prompt to work properly and make backup before modding. I've made a mess of my save so many times when I was figuring out what's what.
This is an add-on to the previous mod which allows You to generate random seeds for ships:

It's automatic so You can't choose how your ship works, it's guess work
