There's nothing unique about any of the worlds generated in NMS.
All of the zinc plants are the same, all of the plutonium plants are the same. Every world's game assets are the same. IDENTICAL. All shelters, all ruins, everything is the same. All ships, aliens, all caves, everything is identical as the next. THe colors change, but the overall remaining left over is the same.
Grass doesn't have a different "texture". They are all the same, just a different color. How someone can want it so bad that they actually can see a different "texture" to grass, is beyond me...
Definitely the previous guy who says "The eye sees what it wants to see" is incredibly accurate for this guy's commentary in this video.
He wants this game to be unique so bad, that he sees it that way. Eventhough the rest of the world sees what is REALLY THERE, which is literally nothing.
This was my most anticipated game for years, and It's a complete and utter dissapointment.

The second was listed as a "Dead World" and the description fit. Nothing there but rock. Worse still it generated with terrain glitches that would cause you to fall into the void. I came very close to that hapenning, but had the presence of mind to jetpack in the correct direction and made it back to my ship in time. (I renamed it with a caution flag for other travellers.) The last planet was really far away from the others and I almost didn't bother going to it, but BOY am I glad I did.
I won't spoil it until I can get some video up, but I renamed the planet Elysium, after the Elysian Fields, which was the Ancient Greek concept of Heaven. This place is just gorgeous.
I'll put some video up as soon as I can.
and this
Have you seen the movie "Melancholia"? Try not to do research on it.. just find a copy and see it.
I appreciate the time you took to answer this. However, although very thoughtful, I found your answer to be a bit of a cop out.
#1 all the things you listed in your massive list of things that are different came down to only 3 things really, shape, size, and color. That's not enough to create a variety of worlds. All you are doing is recycling a few things over and over again to create 18 Q worlds that ultimately end up all being the same.
#2 to say that we all see things different, is true. However, there are some generally accepted things in life that we can assume are equal for almost everyone.
Ice cream is cold. Soup is hot. If you started eating hot soup, and saying to me "I love this cold soup!" I would just have to believe you are incapable of disserning temperature.
In this case, it's true that some people could be satisfied with what is being presented here, while others cannot. That's true. However, that doesn't change any of the actual facts.
What I would prefer is to hear you say "Yeah, this game doesn't have much to it compared to what was advertised, and discussed over the years, but I'm ok with that and I still like it".
That would be an intellectually honest answer.
But to say "this game has such depth and it's amazing how much variety there is and how much detail, and how many things I can do! I love this game!"
Well now that's totally and completely intellectually dishonest. Yes the "I love this game" part is true, but the embellishments made prior to that statement completely run against reality and what is actually being presented. There's no way around those facts.
I'm glad you were able to find a planet combination you thought was pretty. yay.
If you find the variety lacking and the gameplay lackluster and boring after 10 hrs then that means there just isn't enough for you here. I do hope they add more content and stuff to do but for now I am not anywhere near done with the Atlas stuff (have not even found an anomoly or major thing connected to Atlas yet at all) and I am playing through the core of the game still.
I have not tried any of the other stuff like attacking large ships, getting involved in major space battles, pirating/attacking traders and other small craft, umm I am not actually entirely sure what all there is to do lol.
