How Do I Find A Specific Star?
I need to go back to a system I previously visited a few days ago but I have no idea how to find it. What am I missing?

Having this issue myself, a "simple plot route to visited planets" function in the galaxy map would be great.

Unless you remember the name, there is nothing you can do. You can place waypoints on the galaxy map but that only works if you actually remember where it was on the map. The map sometimes shows places you've been too, sometimes it bugs out, but unless you remember the name, there's really nothing you can do.

They never added that. Would be nice to have even if only to set up waypoints back to other stars.
If base building becomes a fact, then I guess it will be added, since coming back to your base would be a bit important :)

Nah, they could just put a little mark next to a star if you've been there before. Maybe the brighter the mark the more recently visited, etc. Best to keep it simple.

But yeah, gotta agree the Galaxy UI is a nightmare. I can't see ♥♥♥♥. Hopefully they'll change it so we can zoom in/out with the mouse wheel and pan about with the movement keys.

You have a log of all the systems you've visited. I know it's a pain, but you can follow that back by looking for each previous system on the list.

I don't know of any other way. They really need to add a r/click select function to that list.

you can pan around in free look mode.

this doesn't work ifyou cant see the last star you visited. I looked and looked, just can't see it. it either changed from the name i gave it, or it's just not there.

I know the name. I can see it in the list of visited systems but I can't see a way to find it in the map.

I would love an ability to set a waypoint to a system from the discoveries page. dont know why this isn't in the game, seems so obvious.

Thanks chummer, good to know! So far I've been in waypoint mode (?) for the Atlas path. Finished it last night - time to dive back in and have a proper mooch ;)

If you're not too far from it and you officially "discovered" and uploaded, this might help - You can go to the galactic map and press "X" (the game says tab, but it's wrong) to start a scan of known systems, and then press "X" (game says "D" but that's wrong, too) again to cycle through nearby discovered systems.

That's how I found the ones I've been to before.

Oh, if you're using a controller instead of keyboard the displayed controls for the galactic map seem to be correct.

Awesome! Thanks! I couldn't find the system I wanted but I didn't know about the keys being wrong. This helps quite a bit!

for me hitting X just cycles through someone elses discovered systems, not mine
