Why do they still use the fake trailers?
The trailers on the store front page are just scripted content, made only for E3, and not actual gameplay.
A lot of the stuff isn't even in the game. Why they are still allowed to use it is beyond me, that's illegal, false advertisment.

EDIT: If I would so such a thing in my work, or any other business, then the next day we would be in court for deceiving customers. But for some unknown reason, (indie) game studios are given a free pass on everything.

I mean it's okay if you enjoy a handcrafted lie for the randomized retail game.
But most people are not aware or told that "This trailer is NOT the current game, it is a handcrafted version we made two years ago to hook you."
My point being you are a fool to point out things like that, a petty, petty fool.
I bough a burger at MC Donalds once, was nothing like the picture, still ate it to make sure though then asked a refund but they refused! Crazy world...

Sounds like just about every E3 trailer ever.

Why do you keep complaining about fake trailers..
I'm gonna sell you a burger.
I'm showing you a video of how it's made using the finest meats, finest buns, amazing rare shrooms.

You take a big bite and realize I gave you a pile of dung between two buns.
Walk me through how your mind is "okay, this isn't like what you shown me, but I respect your decision and will eat this."

The reality check you finally get some day is going to hit you like a ton of bricks son, I can promise you that beyond any doubt.

Most E3 trailers don't make it to store page.
Most devs know that's misrepresentation of their product.
Most consumers know that's false advertising.
Some still defend it tho.
I've watched these said "false trailers" and everything I've seen in them has been in my game. Of course it doesn't all happen in the 2 minutes of the trailers but I see nothing false in any of them.

This exactly, the only thing i havent seen yet is the size and the triceratops style tree moving, the rest i have seen.
Lying isn't nice.
1. The scanner isn't as retail version.
2. The ui isn't as retail version.
3. Uploading is shown in the middle of the screen, which is false because you need to hit Esc.
4. Scanning with aoe scanner is show, false function.
5. Large animal moves trees aside, false function, animals clip through objects.
The list goes on. I suppose if you're in denial, then yes, the trailer shows 100% what the game is like RIGHT NOW.
I'd advise you to stay far away from Star Citizen then, what they show now is how it's atm in the alpha buils and not a sign on what it'll be in retail.

Haters are going to hate nomather how small the flaw is and try to convince other to do the same.
xD

My point is you're a fool for defending blatant lies like that.
Make me wonder why you're so into false advertisement.

Could be you don't realize what the store page is meant for.
When you open it up, it's meant to give you a fair and updated representation of the game.
NMS's doesn't do that.

Again, the reality check and realization of the way the games industry actually works and the way marketing specifically works is going to hit you like a ton of bricks.

Actually McDonalds is obliged to tell you "The final product does not look like the pictures." when asked. But if you get pickles on something you didn't order, you get a new one because the first order was different than the one advertised. See how that works?

This is the important take away, and thing that we should all remember when we get our hopes up for a game...Don't just preorder something because it looks awesome at E3 or whatever, wait until the actual product is available.
