So it's not a AAA game?
As many are saying this isn't a AAA game or it's over priced, I have a question: what is a AAA game?

Are we talking about... Diablo 3? SimCity 4? Batman Arkham Knight? Assassins Creed?

What does it make them AAA? Being a huge development? Having a lot of money spent on them? Having a big company behind?

Do whatever you want, I'm a dev and I know how huge the development of this game should have been and for me this is a AAA game. And yes, it's buggy as many other games priced the same as this one.

Having Multiplayer? I don't know what you expected, that's a huge feature which would be added just for people never seeing each other because how huge this universe is. For me it was clear it was never going to happen.

For me the game works fine and I'm enjoying it so don't be surprised, if I don't answer I'm probably enjoying my game.

so out of the modern day Space Genre games this one has the least amount of features and what appears to be the least amount of work put into it compared to the other ones (not including 2D games) and yet somehow its the one that is a AAA?

yeah that sounds about right actually

Quality of the final product doesn't mean anything. A AAA game means that it has been produced by a very large studio, usually involving a staff of 100+, costing tens of millions of dollars, and often being in development for multiple years.

Assassin's Creed is a great example of one.

It only has a price of an AAA game, it was made by an indie campany (~20 people irrc). I'm sure the game could have been excellent if they had more ressources, but it's boring and empty with a lot of issues.

Ok
They'll add more content and features. I think it's a pretty good release. It has its issues but I'm enjoying it right now and I'm sure that it will improve in the near future.

For 60 bucks you would think it was already packed with content.

AAA stands for bugdet and people involved.

This game is an indie game masquerading as an AAA game masquerading as an indie game.

So people saying not-AAA games shouldn't cost $60 are saying a game's price should depend on how many people worked on it and not the quality?

It sounds like you pay expensive food only if a lot of people were involved on making it, not the taste.

For me this game is working better than Assassins Creed 3, 4. Unity and Rogue never worked for me.

AAA is a sort of catch-all term used to describe the development process, budget, talent, marketing, and tools used in production. Think of a Lion's Gate film versus something from the Asylum. It doesn't denote how good or fun the final product is, but speaks more to the quality of its production.
The price is set to whatever people are willing to pay. And guess what? At $60, it's one of the top if not the #1 seller on Steam this week.

AAA games are rare now if they even exist anymore. AAA is a feeling of polish to a game. Think GTA, anything from Blizz, the Witcher, MASS EFFECT, etc...

This game is overpriced, no doubt. There really is no reason that the interactive story elements couldn't have had more polish and better CGI.

since when game made on unity engine is aaa game?

I will say almost 2 years ago I read a short un-well published article that said these large AAA companies are thinking of branching out into smaller studios so that they can appear to be more indie plus the small team approach appears to work better. the indies that are successful per developer are off the charts more efficient and creative then the larger ones so its a model to pay attention to
