It does look like blue plutonium, it's pretty hard to find. Just look on different planets until you find it or buy some.

Chrysonite can be mined from blue crystalline structures on planets or bought from merchants. Commonly found on the surface of cold planets.

I have only found one deposit in all my planets I have searched in my 25 hours of play.
So I just buy it.
Less time consuming just mining the materials that are there and paying for them then going on a quest to find it.

I had to travel pretty far in the solar system to that one planet, ICE giant with toxic atmosphere and many storms.
But it was there, and I saw no more flying around.

Took like 3 mins with Pulse Engines.

You can also feed alien animals and they will find rare materials, such as chrysonite, iridium etc

Most times snow bioms have them around. They do look the same as pluto just in blue.
