take some aspirin then.
So if I was a developer and told everyone it would be the greatest thing ever and would have all the features but only deliver a pong like game. You're telling me everyone should just shut up and be glad i delivered a game?
i guess there is nothing but abortion to do about persons like you
So Sean has only publicly talked about NMS 3 or 4 times in the last 3 years be it video, article, newspaper and quite a few other non-typical places.
Some of your non-typical gaming reporting organizations like The Independent, Inverse and Time did interviews with Sean. So I just knocked 3 times off the list. That leaves 1 time more. Guess what, he did publicly talk 1 more time and actually hell of a lot more times in both print and video.
Oh, add the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Reuters to the list.
The burden has now been passed back to you to disprove my claim.
So you agree with me since all you have is insults.
Wait...his job is mostly done?!
Having worked for a software company I can tell you releasing something is not the end - it's the start. Every company plans patches and testing for months after release depending on the size of the project.
I promise you...no one at HG put up their feet when NMS was released and thought their job was done. It just the start of very long nights of testing, coding and bug fixing.
And of course the company has to communicate with players, that was fosters strong bonds and loyalty. HG will make more games and their gonna want people to follow them those games.
Hmm lets see why would he bother, Just in case it`s all genuine, things went wrong, They weren`t talented enough, PC`s just are a nightmare to program for .... He took out of everyones pocket $60, Launched a game that for 50% of the people it`s not performing up to the standard of a AAA title. Not many company owners would just go... Nah I`ll let it all die down then pop in and say "Hey not too bad is it" if they cared for both their product and their customers.
Why are we all so sure of this, that Hello Games are planning more games. They`ve done it sold snake oil and won. Nothing requires them to fix a thing, They could just fold up tomorrow and start a new venture ... Ok New face of the company would also have to be choosen but thats just a detail.
Dislike a game like this, after all the hello game work for years, so yes if i was Sean i will be very sad about that.
Some negatives reviews just miss the big part of the game, and the S-F classic experience in a game. Well Murray bring his dream alive with a small team, thinking the same way, they bring us this game as a dream and some of you can't just understand all this game was all about...
A dream game for dev and for us...
So guys a game got a part of a dream too. You must keep and see the soul of a game, the dream part of a game and enjoy it (if of course this game was in your dreams too like a sf fan in space)
So many games have no soul at all, i must said tons of games... no soul... no news in gameplay... nothing...
When i see GTA, COD, BATTLEFIELD... well search... again search... nothing ??
Where is the dream part in these games... nothing. All these games just came without soul or not a single part of a dream...
So yes, sure you can't understand me on this cause you're not able to see tne fun and the dream in game, in fact you can't see the soul of a game... Sadly...
Thks Sean to bring this game out, with a spirit and a dream which 2016 players can't obiously understand cause they just been formated to play boring games and action games without soul... Sad... yes...
Right on and keep sipping.
I'm not saying everyone should suck it up, well I am a bit haha. but mostly i'm saying that, yes multiplayer was vaguely hinted at, initially i wasn't gunna get it and just wait for a sale. but i'm generally happy that they set out to make a space exploration game and that is what I am playing.
the naivety as mr stark was trying to point out is the fact that a large amount of ppl didn't actually find out themselves what they were buying. and that somehow indy companies can just afford to run data centres from b2p titles and no planned dlc micro transactions or whatever.
with those vague mentionings of multiplayer you'd think if someone really wanted multiplayer they'd found out for realises just how multiplayer it actually is first, based on the aforementioned factoids. let alone is the universe many times bigger than elites which is also big enough to never find another player. so lets think about that, full blown multiplayer functionality, almost zero chance of meeting your friends. makes sound development sense lets spend months/years making that work!.
Sean Murray: The only way for you to know what you look like is for somebody else to see you.
Q: Can you run into other player in game?
Sean: Yes.
Q: Will you be able to play with your friends
Sean: Yes.
I have 770 EVGA 4GB and i5 3570k. Will my rig magic these lies into the game? Not to mention it's tad above the games requirements and still can't maintain solid 60. Games like Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 run better on my PC and how those games look.
Denying lies with more lies. Nice one.
This is great and all, but people are having legit problems and would like to share in a this "soul" and "dream" as well. (Also, HG didn't do people a favour creating NMS, they released a product.)
Point...while I understand that they're a small team, they did just release a product world wide with the backing of a major international company. They also hired a new QA team to support the release.
I don't even think HG believes they don't owe anyone anything. I don't think HG believes this product in its current tech state lives up to their expectations of what a great game is. I believe their standards are WAY higher. I think they are realistic and would rather have things sorted for everyone.
Defend the game and the developers, but don't patronise HG like poor little dears and don't look down on people having legit problems.
Not everyone with a problem is a FPS gamer or "noob lulz", stop looking down on people. (It's an incredibly pointless way to defend your point, since 60 bucks is 60 bucks no matter who paid it.) If you want to help HG, maybe take part in the tech section and help players troubleshoot their issues.
