Not a single tweet in nearly 24 hours. On days prior to launch before everyone started calling him out and posting videos of him saying the game was multiplayer, and end game weas the center of the galaxy hes vanished.

There comes a time when it just has to be accepted that No Mans Sky is not the experience that was promised. We understand that the "Steam Store" said "single player", but we also saw the videos, and listened to the pod cast where Sean said himself it was Multiplayer, and they chance of meeting people was "slim". He did not outright say "you cant interact with other players". Any way you slice it, it wasnt the truth.

Now im not here to start a "EFF U" thread. I am here to seriously discuss the issue. Not a single tweet in the last 24 hours after realizing his game is one of the biggest refunded games in history. I played for 16 hours straight, attempted to do many of the things he talked about, and found that most of it was just not there. Simply this is an exploration game, thats all it is. There is nothing wrong with it being that, but why try and dupe people into thinking its something its not. Oh i know ... SALES.

At this point I am just frustrated, frustrated that I was lied to about this game, and many many players have proven the lies. Videos of people on the same planet / space station, videos of the glaaxy just resetting and moving on. There is no point to this game other then exploration. This is not the "experience" we were promised by the devs.

Its just unbelievable infuriating that he wont admit it. In a world where $60 is no small price to pay for a game, to just completely ignore things when you get called and not address them is a pretty crappy thing to do. There are Hundreds of thousands of tweets and forum comment about these problems and the devs just ignore it like its not happening.

This is precisley why the gaming community has become so toxic. Developers just outright lieing about the game, taking our money cause they KNOW we are gonna binge the first day, and go way past the "2 hour" steam store rules. They get their money and we get stuck with a game thats useless to us.

Now, the game is beautiful, it is fun for what it is "an exploration game". But lots of us bought this game for the Multi Player experiece based on Seans own words. (im not gonna post videos cause we have all seen them). How is this fair to us as a community? If the developer states "there is a very slim chance", it means there IS a chance, yet clearly there isnt in No Man's Sky. Its been proven, so why are so many of us letting it slide?

You can like the game, you can hate the game, that is not the point of this thread. The point is how long is the gaming community going to take being stepped on, lied to, and crapped on by game developers that promise one thing and deliver another. Its happened with far too many games to list at this point, so i wont get into that, but the fact remains we are allowing these devs to steal our money by promising one thing, and delivering another.

AAA price, You dont drop tools and goto to Maui for the weekend when you`ve charged people so much and lied on specs, No DirectX compatibility, Shoddy frame rates on very high end machines, Blamed them for it all and alot more to boot.

At the very least you keep your customers updated on say a 5 hourly basis on whats being done to fix things, Comes to something when 3rd party hobby programmers can prove him wrong about needing OpenGL 4.5 when it works on boards that dont support it.

BTW - Just consider that it was a team of 20 people. All the time Sean was bald faced blatantly lying, any one of that 20 with morals should have spoken up and said something, so the whole team is culpable. That hurt to watch. Only thing worse than lying, is acting akward while doing it.

Quite obvious from the nervous behavior and gestures that he was lying. Actions like his are normally associated with pathological liars.

This is a perfect example why consumers have trust issues with every release.

Just to be clear, you enjoyed the game, but decided to refund because of the devs? What kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is that? If you enjoyed the game you should've kept the game and continued enjoying it regardless of who the devs are or what they have said.

No. The main reason I decided to refund is because of the devs, not the only reason.

If they don't care enough to communicate with their community as to why these bad things are happening, what they're doing to fix it, and their future plans, then it's highly unlikely that the other, minor issues I have with this game will be addressed any time soon (Those being variety and content mostly)



A launch this bad shouldn't be ignored by the devs. If it was a good launch, by all means, don't communicate! People are enjoying your game! But when there's huge outcry, you have to atleast say something, even if it's just a simple "We're looking into it!"

Personally, I don't give a rat's rectum, I've been having a very fun time with NMS.

99% of people were able to play. And the 1% all lost their minds, and started posting negative reviews and death threats. Cattle.
