IMPORTANT: Turn off NVIDIA Multi-Frame Sampled AA
Obviously only applies to people with NVIDIA cards with MFSAA on.

Turning this off brought me from 25 FPS to well over 70. The visual quality not only did not suffer, it actually got a lot better. It removed this weird wavy effect that I had assumed was stylization. If you're having framerate issues, try this.

Alternatively, just optimize the game via GeForce Experience. It'll automatically turn MFSAA off. I have experienced absolutely no issues with the game ever since I did this.

Bump, this information needs to be sent to the devs.

I optimized the game via GeForce Experience and I stopped getting the slight but noticable frame rate stutters.

Game runs great now at 1920 x 1200 with all settings on max. (2 x GTX1080)

this ♥♥♥♥ is off by default on driver install the fact that you people need a software to think for yourselves "Geforce Experience" is laughable

ok the op himself turned it off himself, but also probably tested it though Geforce experience.

if the software can save time then i don't see the issue other than you just feeling like messing around with options instead of clicking a button makes you superior or something.

What graphics card are you running? I have a GTX 750 TI...

How do you turn it off manually? I can't find the setting.

In my Nvidia Inspector there is nothing like this, there is a ***MFAA*** which is off by default and also off in the NV panel, so what? And what let you think that HG and NMS is using the new Maxwell 2 MFSAA ? that doesn't jibe...

@Bainemo,

Thank you for this post.
I did what you suggested in the NVpanel.
While in there, I also dropped the framerate setting to adaptive from fast.
Then went in game and turned MFSAA off there as well becasue my GE optimation always turns it on.
When I restarted the game, I was SHOCKED.
Not only was it running at >60 fps in 4K mode, but the graphics looked 3D!
I'm not bullshittin.
It looks much MUCH better. Clearer. Crisper.
Hell, the sentinels look like they're flying OUT of the screen.
I had tried everything just to get it to run at 30-40fps in 4K...or so I thought.
You made the difference.Thanks again.

How to do this?
wim1234 2017 年 3 月 20 日 下午 1:32
this only shows that a lot of fps issues are at the userside.

I agree. The game itself is optimized very well.
However, gfx cards settings are possibly killing the user's experience.
