What do they NPC eat, and where do they poop?

First off, I'm not talking about the animals. I'm talking about the NPC you talk to.
Where does the NPC eat? I haven't seen 1 farm in any LP. Also where do they poop? I haven't seen 1 bathroom, or something that looks like one.

Everything eats, and unless if it is a plant or a single cell, it poops. (single cells actually split up and die because of this)
Plants put what they don't use in the ground. (farmers actually use this to put stuff in the ground if needed). I don't call that pooping, but by all counts it kinda is
