i don't know, aiming may improve but with keyboard controls, it may be difficult, but hey it is a "chill" game
if you can believe it, some people just grew up with controllers. i play everything with a controller if i can help it; i even use xpadder on a lot of programs. it just feels better and plays better for a lot of peeps
and yknow, usually you dont play on consoles w/ a mouse and keyboard
But back pain and work fatigue makes it so that I am preferring a gamepad nowadays (even though I have the ''best & most comfortable'' keyboard, mouse and computer desk set (that money could buy for me :D :D ), leaning back and playing with a controller is still easier for me -at the moment-.
But unless* I was so tired from work, I would never choose a controller over keyboard&mouse (there may be some exceptions but generally 90%+ of games are better played with a kb&m). Coz with a mouse, I am just so much more precise in my controls during gaming. And a keyboard gives me so many more buttons to use without having to press/hold any number of key combinations.
Just my two cents :)
Back in the day, yeah I'm older, you would never consider using a keyboard and mouse with a flight sim. I can remember many hours of playing Wing Commander with a CH Flightstick Pro. But then again the flight sim aspect of this game does not really seem to involve much combat.
Agreed on handheld controllers though, aiming is always worse than keyboard and mouse, or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
I play driving games like GTA with both K&M and controller. Controller for driving, and K&M for everything else. Driving in games with a K&M, I find unbearable. A hotas may also be superior for some games, like Elite Dangerous, althought I play with K&M with no problems. But driving, controller or I won't play.
So, I am hoping the PC version will improve on this one vital aspect.
NMS is a fun game, but it doesn't matter how fun if the FOV is so narrow it makes me want to throw up after playing it for an hour.
Bring on the PC version with 90-110 FOV and 21:9 Ultra Widescreen support!
