How does one stream to Steam, and or YouTube?
I want to do live streams when the game is released on Friday, but I don't know how to set up a live stream (though I do know how to post footage to YouTube). Also, can you take live streams and upload them as videos later?

Bump again.

Come on, y'all! Tons of threads with intentions of trolling and or bickering get responses and a guy who's asking for genuine help is ignored? :p

I am curious about this as well.

If you have an nvidia card, you should have Shadowplay installed. It lets you record what's on your screen (and your voice if you have a mic) and save it to your computer. Then you can upload it to youtube. My kids use it all the time, but I don't think it does live streaming.

I use Shadowplay actually (that's the "though I do know how to post footage to YouTube" part), but do you know how to do live streams and not just record footage?

+1 OBS is great, twitch has their own section FAQ to help set up your stream properly. Just use their suggested defaults and then play around with it from there.

Yes it's easy... just download the Beta of NVidia Experience and you can "broadcast" i.e. stream direct using shadowplay to your youtube, twitch or IMGUR.. easy to setup and flawless performance. Hope that helps.

"August 9".
You can enable Steam Broadcasting in your settings and random people can watch you play. Otherwise, use OBS or X-split to stream to Twitch.tv. YouTube just started allowing people to broadcast live also. From Twitch there is a one-click export to YouTube, so it's very easy and it's my go-to method if I want to record gameplay and have it end up on YouTube. It's really good for recording a bug in a game and posting an easy link for devs for troubleshooting.

I am wondering, can you use steam to stream to your own YouTube account instead?

I am getting skips in my observation streams with recommended settings using x264 encoding.
