Epilepsy warning
A quick search showed that the word "epilepsy" doesn't show up even once in the entire forum which is quite surprising as there are a lot of flashing colors and flickering lights and shapes everywhere in NMS.

If you know that you suffer from photosensitive epilepsy or that flashing and flickering lights can cause your seizures use available gamplay footage to test if you are affected. I hope for HG/Sony that they have a huge warning plastered over the game box or at the start of the game or they'll open themselves up to some lawsuits...

EDIT: There IS a huge epilepsy warning on the PS4 game box, just saw an unpacking video on youtube where the guy showed the box front and back in closeup and it's there in red, so good on HG/Sony for doing that.

Actually this is a really good point. Especially the "booster" or impulse thrusters or whatever seems to use a lot of flashy color.

Exactly, but it happened on a planet, too, when he was firing at something - the whole screen was like a disco ball. Really amazing that this hasn't been mentioned even once before...

It's pretty standard now day on *all* games for them to have a warning, whether it has the flashing lights/colors or not.

And some folks are much more affected than others. I have epilepsy, and I've never been triggered by flashing colors/lights even when they were *trying* to trigger a seizure. And folks who have never had seizures before have seen a specific pattern and went into one.

So... the pretty much blanket warning now days.

Yes, you are right, there is one on the box. I'm still surprised that this topic hasn't come up even once before but I guess it's what you're saying: It's standard now so everyone is taking it for granted.
