This will probably help get an idea for everyone just input your specs.
- NVidea Geforce 850M 4GB DDR3
- 12 GB of Ram
- Intel Core i7-4710HQ CPU with 2.50GHz
I know many people don´t like laptops, but mine runs almost every game,
and I travel a lot so I prefer it.
-NVidia GeForce 840m
-i7-5500u 2.40 GHz
-12 GB RAM
it will run but it would be better to upgrade the gpu. just in case you knowp

I'm not a programmer but, i found this video very fascinating...

I remember several years back a company/dev team touting there version(s)/tech of procedural generation and how they would "revolutionize the games industry"... some of their method included scanning into the game world, real world objects/assets that would be recreated on an "atom" type level (point cloud data?) for "unlimted detail"... but they never reamerged for games (that i know of) but instead, went after a more industrial/commercial business model:

I somehow suspect that Devs like Hello Games and Euclideon are the cutting edge of future game technology... unfortunately unions and corporate politics will slow progress into technology that could potentially put hundreds of thousands of games artists out of work, world wide.
Yeah It really is about time to upgrade for this and other games coming out later. I see you are getting a 1060 too, I'm personally waiting for the other 2 models(the FTW and SSC) but would you suggest upgrading to one of the 1060 available now for NMS?
