And combined with: At every station you visit taking on every kill XXX animals and kill XXX sentinel quest available to you. Once you have a Nautilon you can provoke a jellyfish swarm or two and clear enough quests to max out guild standings in one easy convenient and completely safe slaughter.
Sentinels for extra credits :). Have decent weapons and shields before trying to collect those ones.
Nope, other than for weapons on your Starship. Those show their dps on the tooltip if you mouse over the main weapon module and that value updates based on how you arrange all of the tech and upgrades for it.
Depends on the item. A lot of them are account unlocks so you can claim them for 'free' on the quicksilver vendor in all future new games that you make once you purchase them. Things like titles, and decorative items for your bases, etc. are like this.
A handful of the stuff you have to re-purchase though.
Something every single one of us who plays the game wonders. That said, hunting for that perfect ship or multitool that is also just the right color is one of the things that keep many of us busy for a lot of hours...so that may very well be the reason why.
Not that I'm aware of for either of these things....I'd be thrilled if I was wrong though and someone has an answer that differs.
You cannot get another from the quicksilver vendor in a save where you have already claimed it, unless they changed that at some point. (It's been quite a while since I tried it). But, you can still get another by having someone else who has it give you an egg.
I'm headed to bed so don't have the time to give you a proper answer to this one...I use over 90 different mods, a large number of them being for QoL and cosmetic things (the rest to make the game harder) and I have tested out 100's of other mods. None of the mods that I use are 'cheaty'. So many mods to explore for this game.
If I think of it, I will circle back tomorrow when I have the time to give a proper answer.
All mods are client side, so anything that changes planet gen, terrain gen, weather gen, etc. are always just on your end. Other players could be standing right next to you seeing something completely different at that point.
I actually started using a mod a few days ago that changes terrain generation, for example, and when I did the nexus mission I watched another player fly right into the ground (and below) because on my end the terrain was raised higher than on their end.
As for recommendations, this is not all of that type of mod that I use but it's a short list of those which I really like which are also up-to-date (most of the mods I u se I keep up-to-date myself).
Terra Firma[www.nexusmods.com]
Deadzone[www.nexusmods.com]
Dead Wreckoning[www.nexusmods.com]
Exosolar's Lumen[www.nexusmods.com]
Exosolar's Abyss[www.nexusmods.com]
Exosolar's Stratos[www.nexusmods.com]
Cooking with Cronus[www.nexusmods.com]
True Clouds, Slow Clouds and Better Storms are 3 mods that I think pair well with all of the above mods, and which I still use, but their author hasn't updated them for Waypoint so they aren't viable for anyone who isn't up-to-speed on compiling their own updates.
There are some other very ambitious mods that transform planet types entirely, but I"m not familiar with those. I avoid all mods that actually make changes to what you 'discover" and instead go for those which enhance what is already there without actually changing it. (I.e. A volcanic planet stays a volcanic planet, a swamp planet stays a swamp planet, etc).
I also avoid any and all mods that change starship/multitool/freighter/etc. generation. Because If I find a cool thing, I want to be able to share it's location with people who don't use the mods that I use.
I do not recall seeing any item that I've had to "purchase" (w/Quicksilver) more than once.
Started a new one and suggest the following to add to your growing list.
1. Don't be in a hurry to leave your spawn planet.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2895402485
2. Nanites are everywhere in the discovery, in the junk, in the shelters, on the save beacons, on the Sen Pillars, in the machinery, in the larval cores. etc
3. Find and use the first beacon to locate the minor settlement and mark it. Walk the 5 hours and discover loot you way there.. Found a distressed B shuttle, I've found multiple abandoned building for larval cores and a Sen Pillar that fetched me a MT B with 2 super slots (broken). Two Observatory with a Vy'keen that gave me a MT with a Terrain Manipulator. Repackaged into the B (Yeah).
4. Hit the Knowledge Stones if your lucky enough to have them on your spawn. Helps with Rep on Race when you chat up NPC. So chat up the NPC!
5. Find the location of the Portal if possible.
6. Collect one specific plant for hazard or health protection to stack; because when you do leave the planet, you will have an opportunity to visit any NPC Freighter and roam there back halls to find, Planetary Scanner, Nutrient Processor, 3 stage Refiner, etc.. Profit
After thought, High traffic locations where there are multiple NPC or shelters, structures have broken machinery that have MODs,, use them or install and recycle for items you can't afford to purchase ie. wiring loom. Might even get lucky with rare metal.
i've been known to spend some time just teleporting between several bases over and over and over gathering CDs... then i'll load up a bunch of refiners with them and, while they are running (about 20 IRL minutes for 9999 CDs in one refiner) i'll switch to another machine/device and read email, these forums, or maybe even do some programming...
i suspect they were using a terrain mod but i did not ask them... i play vanilla NMS... me seeing them walking in the air might also have been due to me not yet uploading my base after making some changes to it... so their instance of my base may not have had the landing pad... idk...
Curious Deposits and Mutated Plants (Radon blobs) will re-spawn if you travel ~ 500-600u away in any direction. Curious Deposits generally lay in sets one large one smaller within ~750-1100u so you can melee boost, run, melee boost, run melee boost: Repeat, Rinse Profit.

I'll look for more examples next time I'm in the Nexus in the game. But one comes to mind right away:
Void Eggs
If you mean your Starship and Fleet Frigates then no other than to hunt for ones with the right colors as previously mentioned. Someone somewhere mentioned the Star color seems to have some effect on the spawn color of such.
You can change your Capital Frigate colors and unlock that via research paths.
Ahh damn I was hoping I could do it on any space station for easy scrapping.
