1-2 hours impresses the heck out of me, regardless. It took me 16 and half hours total. I guess I lollygag.
I get a kick out of monitoring myself, and gently reminding myself this is not a new save, just an Expedition....when I start trying to play it as a regular save. Old habits die hard.
i'm 14hrs into the expedition...and i haven't reached R1 yet Lol...and yes i'm luvin' it...(even though expd5 was/is my 2nd to least favourite)
i'm taking the scenic (off the beaten track) route and it's paying off...my first warp got me tall eggs!!!...go figure
PS. also found yellow 'ringer' for the radiant pillar while i was still driving the crappy explorer...took it as a sign from the RNGods as to wot a starter ship should be...so i had to buy it
(can't remember how-to add a picture...someone please)
talking of starter ships brought this to mind Lol

Im just setting up my 5th mineral mine and 4th nanite farm and raising resource to do some serious ship hunting :)
Take your time, enjoy the scenery :)
Here's a guide of how to add it:

The system is Navashove (3star Vy'keen) just 62lys before reaching R1

and went back to make sure this wasn't something i picked up in another galaxy and found this

glyphs
bird, bird, galaxy, sunset, triforce, triforce, tikiface, tree, tree, boat, balloon and tree
(...and yes i know the names might not make sense to others...cos inkblots...people see different things Lol)
a written guide of each expedition is what i'm looking for, i don't care for youtuber guides one bit.
@NZ.Zer0; m8...i forgot...i'm running Gumsk's 'More Frequent Traders' mod (makes NPC pilots a bit more busy in the system), it might also nudge the system ship spawn pool...i've not noticed but that could just be cos i only go back to a system i know from another save for my guppy exotic and that's still there...i'll test it later today without the mod to see if both fighters are there
All it does is alter how quickly the waves come and go so that you don't have to spend as much time waiting around for them. If you find a ship while using the mod, it is definitely 'there' even without the mod....just could involve a lot more waiting.
If you (or anyone else) reading this actually enjoyed the cooking aspects of the expedition, there's a fantastic mod that greatly expands on Cronus and the cooking side of the game. One of my favorite mods due to the sheer uniqueness of it (and my own love of cooking).

i went out and sourced the materials, trying to find the sticky 'honey' was an issue as most animals on all the worlds i've visited were milk producers and the occasional egg producer. Ended up presenting a gooey chocolate cake and Cronus said it was a piece of art.
i used one of the guides to find a link to an NMS assistant website with what appears to be what cronus thinks of the end quality of the item, the chocolate cake said 5 stars, so i went for it. it was fun doing that as i never did that before.
@NZ.Zer0::...and guess wot happened as i was next at the station picking up missions
