Does NMS Coordinate Exchange still work?
I have started a new game with a buddy of who just got the game. I was going to collect only blue color ships this time. I looked up recent founds and dialed couple addresses and it did not take me where it should've. So, regardless what you dial for an address is it going to be different everytime?

Are you in the correct galaxy? I tried NMSCE recently and it took me to the right system. It was a 2022 entry.

I always check the address before dialing because i noticed that the address in the picture of what item is off compare to what is in the details on the side of the picture. I even dial both addresses and still did not get to the right system.

If the address is for a different galaxy then this can happen.

Update, I tried couple more times and still getting the wrong system. Then I start checking the coordinates with the NMS portals decoder and found out that the addresses are one glyph off what is being posted. So thinking problem solved, nope I was wrong. I tried to find a ship with the address what was posted and the address from the decoder by using the coordinates that was posted. It still took me to the same wrong system. So, thinking that coordinates exchange is broke or since the last big update or patch they scramble the addresses. I would appreciate the help in this matter, thanks.

Works fine for me. Just collected this one https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSCoordinateExchange/comments/wmrqi0/crashed_exotic_white_and_gold_guppy_small_wings/
Turn off multiplayer or it won't be there. Make sure you are in Euclid galaxy.

wouldn't it be simpler if the OP posted the links to the NMS CE ships they were trying to get then anyone here could check if they're valid addresses for the galaxies they state?

Update, I am getting my information from https://nmsce.com/. So I tried reddit information and came up with the same results. Wrong systems and planets, I had player who knows my buddy. We had him try the addresses and he got all the right systems, planets, and found the ships and multi-tools we are looking for. I then went to portal he was using and dialed an address and got the right planet and system. Now I need to go to that portal if I want the right places. I have question now, do I need to report that the portals that I have been using is broken or can anyone explain this. thanks

@Heavyarms, are you absolutely positive that the portals you were using were in the right galaxy? Because what it sounds like is you were not.

Portal coordinates do not take you to other galaxies, so if you are in the wrong galaxy, you'll end up in the wrong system too.

I did start a new character with my buddy because he just started to play. I was thinking it is easier to help him if i just start over. So, the starting galaxy is euclid right?

Yes, the starting galaxy is euclid. You can also always check the name of your current galaxy by bringing up the galaxy map and looking in the top left corner.
