No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky

Statistiche:
For the 8k only
I´m amazed how much this game has improved technically since launch. FPS are great, resolution is fixed - and I just found a planet pretty much like the one shown in the trailer.
For me, what´s still missing: 3 monitor support and the PS4 feature of moving your head inside the ship. That´d make it a perfect game. What else is missing for you? (technical - not aspirational)

Not had 1 crash yet. I had FPS slow down at the 2 hour mark with my GTX 670 but once I got a GTX 970 that FPS slow down at the 2 hour mark has gone away. My 4 year old PC has run this game pretty much ok.

Last patch has made my mouse or the graphics jump around strangely when harvesting. Ship still jumps above the planet when taking off, that's really annoying.

What's missing for me. Smoother game, it's still too jumpy on FPS.

On the non technical side - lots missing.
I'm not sure if it's hardware related, but the game starts to slow down to a snail pace after 1h30.
For me, that is actually a good thing. I have to exit the game and do something else for a while.

A ship that can Hover in one place instead of the cluncky flying around in the hope to re-locate the spot I just passed.

Or did you mean the real hardware stuff?

Low flight mod with hover is a thing. You can do this.

Maybe a hardware issue, maybe the game. My longest session so far is 4 hours and encountered no fps loss.

Realy? I have the lowflight mod, but I cannot hover. Maybe they expanded the mod?
Yes! the low flight mod updated to include hover mode. You will need to redownload the mod and select the hover version.

Off the top of my head:

1) Better animal/enemy AI and more activity at space stations, trading posts, etc would make the game feel more 'alive'.

2) More variety in buildings, animal models, etc.

3) Something to do with all this money I'm accruing now that I've maxed my multi-tool, suit and ship.

4) Being able to search for systems by name on the galactic map. An arrow pointing to the 'centre' may also be useful for the purpose or orientation when rotating the map.

5) A less cumbersome UI.

6) More thought given to the achievements: For example, why did I get the top achievement for language when I'd learned less than half of my first language?

I could probably come up with a lot more, but I don't want to turn this into a wall of text. I do like the game overall, though. :)
Flying lower. More weirdness.
The game needs more stuff to do in general, but to stay somewhat on topic, the galactic map needs some love. Some filters to select star class would probably be place I'd start.
I´m happy to see that most people don´t have many technical issues anymore. Sure we all have aspirations for the game, but I guess us, the 8k, knew this was an indie game about exploration (and not much else), and we are happy with it. 5-10k is not bad for a niche game, eh?
Hello there

I can also confirm that triple monitor does not work on Nvidia. (6400x1080)

The ratio is incorrect which results in stretching of the HUD.

There is still a lot of tweaking to do, especialy for the PC, but I agree they did a great job to fix the issues during the last two weeks. Iam curious what will come next, there is a big list of feature wishes (169 and counting) that may help Hello Games adjust the game to the needs of their playerbase. Obviously gathering is still a big thing (good old game mechanics) and being creative is also something to consider for the future of No Mans Sky. If both of those mechanics can be implemented into NMS then it all might get glorious. Or in other words if Hello Games can evolve this game to be of interest for all four main types of personality then its going to be awesome.

Yup, v2.0 includes hover now, but read the patch notes as there is a slight bug in it where if you look down while hovering you can sustain a little damage to your ship. Its minor damage, and be be avoided by keeping hold of the throttle down key while you look around.

Made a little video with it showing both low flight and hover - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6XiICMXCgY&list=PLinX6xXzGwGk0VswsVozVIoD6GmD5PIi0
