It's pretty obvious that this is just a regular mod if you just look at his previous posts. He could in some way be connected to HG, but that is in fact your claim to prove. At least I don't see anything suspicious about him.
At this point you're talking out of your ass.
I find it interesting that Mods leave posts like this up, in droves which is clearly defined as spam, but they will close other threads regarding mods for the game. Obvious agenda is obvious.
OP is an obvious child and has no idea how reddit works. The subreddit is community run; it has nothing to do with HG or Sean Murray.
I'm sorry, but you DO have to provide evidence, otherwise I can just say you're a former SS man who killed thousands of people in concentration camps. I mean nothing indicates otherwise.
Right, and I played against Gabe Newell today in TF2. Actually Gabe had 3 accounts on the same server and he wasn't the only famous face.
There were 4 "famous" youtubers, Donald Trump and Doctor Who there too! /s
The funniest part is, they all had 50 ping on European servers, so they must have great internets in the USA.
I changed it, now it doesn't matter who actually wrote it. You guys are looking into micro-issues but fail to adress the macro issue but the words are probably unknown to you. Never mind.
Unless you're convinced he made statements like that in the past to purposely hide his identity, it tells me it's not SM. You're free to believe otherwise I guess.
EDIT: just saw your edit, doesn't matter now I suppose.
It does matter who wrote it. Because it's just a regular practice on any forum to try to avoid multiple postings of the same thing over and over again. That's why you see lots of smaller topics about Sean Murray's "lies" being deleted here, while the older ones stay up. If this were written by HG and they were going after everyone you'd have a point, but without that this is a non-issue.
It's still kind of harsh moderation i think. Where i come from nothing gets deleted because people can up and downvote on their own, ya know? Deleting EXPLICITLY such topics smells a bit fishy if you ask me. Normally doubleposting just get burried under upvoted topics on reddit if you know what i mean.
Well it obviously depends on the specific forum it happens in. If you don't have a problem with repeat posts the mods can be more lenient, but if you get the same topics every time you essentially drown other peoples posts that may address something completely different.
Reddit is normally governed by democratic votes. Normally if people upvote doublepost, then so be it.
The announcement makes the impression someone tries to desperately compress the hot topic of the day which well deserves 3 to 5 threads because there are certainly different angles to it.
I think they are trying a little bit too hard, no?
but how did you conclude that mods of subreddits are related to staff/affilioates of a company and that this is the case here?
Every subreddit has mods, needs mods. No company has the right to go to reddit and claim moderator status or powers in one of the subreddits. If there is official staff posting on a subreddit they usually introduce themselves and also get some kinf of "verified" text or flair, but they don't gain mod status.
I mean... its ok to make assumptions, but please also make it clear that its an assumption. You just state that this post was from HG staff or affiliated person, without even saying "I think" or "maybe".
I'd be very surprised if HG wouldn't control their own reddit. That would be downright unprofessional.
And yes, since the forum uses a trademark-name HG has absolutely the rights to have it handed to them and that's why they are almost certainly moderating it.
