How do you recharge your exosuit's shields?
I ended up in combat with an unending number of sentinels. At least, I killed at least 30 of them without seeming to affect their numbers at all. Luckily, I was in a great spot, in a hole in the ground, where they could only come at me from one location, one at a time.

Still, after awhile, I got a notation that my shield had been depleted. So,...

1) How do I tell what my shield level is?

2) How do I recharge it?

(Yes, I know that there are places in some buildings which will recharge shields, but I wasn't near any buildings. In fact, I find those completely worthless, since I've needed one when I've found one.)

3) Hmm,... I guess I have another question, too. Would the sentinels go away if I was able to enter my ship?

I thought about that, trying to make a mad dash to my ship. Luckily, I was able to run further underground and lose them that way.

PS. I know how to recharge my ship's shields, but it doesn't seem to work the same way with my exosuit. Or am I just missing something?

tab-->hazard protection
but it takes a while to rebuild outside safe areas. Think it uses zinc as a fuel (and some other stuff I can't remember)

i think the exo suit charges with the icon of the suit and you recharge it with shield plaques i think or red resources
It works just like anything else. If it's the suit that has a low or empty shield...You can hold E on the suit and it will come up with a list of materials with which you can recharge it, or you can drag and drop a stack of materials directly onto the suit. If it's not the suit, and you have some other protective gear installed (such as radiation protection), the bar will be empty and it will flash to highlight that it needs to be recharged.

You can deactivate sentinels by simply running away in a straight line for a minute or so. You're much faster than them and they will lose interest and you can return safely.

Also, if you can run inside a building, the sents will deactivate after about 30 seconds. In your ship, you have to fly into outerspace if you want to quickly deactivate them, other wise it takes about a minute or so for them to deactivate. You can press H on the keyboard to temporarily show your hud which will show your shield level and exosuit life support level.

I don't think I know what that means. In my ship, I click on the shield slot. I thought I tried that with my exosuit, without success. But maybe not. It's hard to experiment when you're being shot at. :)

But I'll figure it out. Thanks for the replies, everyone!

That's a good tip. If I get in trouble, I'll try it. Thanks again.
