Last time there was a delay steam updated their dates before the games website did. Steam still says 9th so I don't think there is going to be a delay.

Because "worldwide on August 12th" doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be released everywhere at once on August 12th.

Welcome to the English language, where read rhymes and lead, but read doesn't rhyme with lead, and tsunami starts with a t.

The way I read it, it was that it will still have it's original release date, and it will be out in EVERY COUNTRY on August 12th. Meaning it won't have anywhere else to release.

I'm not going to believe it's delayed until I see the store page change.

Like Viloa already said, but ill add to it. Before they didnt have a worldwide release date on there, now they do, its just poorly worded.

Sean Murray has confirmed the dates for PS4 are the same for PC, in relation to whatever area of the world you are in.

He read it from a tweet well over 2 months ago and thinks that nothing could have possibly changed between then... Ignore him.

OR, another meaning English could provide, is that there will be a worldwide release for NMS. Meaning that it will be released to everyone on PC, regardless of country, on the 12th. What I mean is that they're going to release it for specific countries first on the 9th for Ps4, but for PC, they are going to release it to everyone simultaneously on the 12th... Meaning North America will get it at the exact same time as the rest of the world on PC..

You wont push back an all digital version as a game developer when the dates were already stated to be the same in the first place. Makes no logical sense, for marketing, distribution or anything really.

im not sure if it is delayed, since a 3 days delay would not give any significant sales boost of ps4s, and 3 days would not be enough to fix any problems in the pc version, so im guessing the wording is just misleading.

It's coming out on the 9th/10th of August worldwide, exactly as planned...the 9th/10th of August 2017 that is :steammocking:

You all are living in denial, again. Just like you lived in denial in the previous delay. It's gonna be released for PC on 12th everywhere. Whereas PS4 version has two different release dates, 9th (Yankee Land) and 10th (Europe). It does not matter what Murray has said previously. Things change.

I doubt this delay is because they want to fix last minut bugs or anything like that. They prolly just decided that it's more convinient to have only one release date for PC. No physical copies so no need to ship copies around the world. Dunno why it can't be the same as the PS4 version though. Maybe they are afraid of the negative backlash and try to limit it by releasing PC version couple of days later so Steam reviews don't affect the PS4 sales.

Sucks but there it is. I can wait two days more.
