Concerns in NMS creature diversity
One of my main concerns is how diverse the creatures really are. I have seen the same features on several creatures in NMS trailers and gameplay. Like the tail of the ice beast on the ice planet was also shown in the trading trailer on another creature. There was also the red frills on a creature in the i have seen things trailer that i have seen on another creature as well. Also plant diversity is a must i have seen plants that look alike in the same trailer except one was red and one had smoke comming from it. I hope they have a wide area of plant and tree types.

For the diversity to be good they have to have made a lot of creature features and i mean a lot. Even if the features are different colors or shaps they should be a lot of base features. Does anyone know around how many base rigs and features thay made in this game? Also in the trailers why would they show creatures with the same features if we have seen that in the trailer that might be a bad sighn. I really hope NMS does well these are just concerns i have

not watched the entire video but apparently everything we've seen so far creaturewise - some are similar some are wierd as hell. i think there is a solid variation there myself (looking through it and a fair amount seems to be on the same planet so i expect more variation ontop of what is there)

No one knows and they probably won't release the details. You'll just have to hope that in all the time there are enough base models to allow for diversity that will take hundreds of hours to get bland.

Keep in mind, not every planet is going to have creatures on it.

Apparently creatures will also get weirder nearer the center, so I guess they just didn't want to show these.

Way I see it they have one small base and it can be radically changed thanks to the superformula. (He had a video showing different variations) Idk how Sean modified it but you can find the basic formula online and mess with it.

I have also noticed that toxic planets in the trailers we have seen tend to have more mushroom and fungus like folliage wich is cool

Each planet has its own biome dependent on how close or far away it is from the sun. No gas planets though.

NMS, is like a chirstmas present. It sounds incredible, I want to believe its incredible, you have to hope its incredible, but ultimately until its released you never know.
