Every system has one living frigate. If you find one and you don't like it, move to the next system. If you recruit the frigate you can not recruit it again.
I was aware of the 1 per system limitation, but I appreciate you including that in your response. Accuracy and thoroughness are two things I respect. Thank you for the response!
I sort of want to get my fleet to where it is mostly living frigates....I just think they look cool.
I got 4 of them this morning, and the longest I had to pulse in any system (so far) was 4 minutes. It's far less time-consuming then I expected.
Just tough out that third one it'll turn up eventually. After that 5 minutes each.
And don't go hunting in the system where you picked up the one from the beacon.
I hit the same problem.
Also a comment, while they look nice and can be respec'd and SOME get nice bonuses to things like mission speed the swarm of supply vessels still works better.
If you haven't found one after a few minute move on to a new system. If this happens in every system something is wrong.
The third organic frigate takes an extraordinary long time. Budget 30 minutes for it, at least. The first two organic frigates are easy, the 4th and beyond organic frigates are an average of 5 minutes, but your third organic frigate will be an epic saga — read: a slurpee, and a couple bags of potato chips.
Your Dream Ariel must be in your starship inventory. Not the exosuit. And, just to be sure you're not getting glitched, put your Dream Ariel into your starship inventory before you take off from wherever, save your game, and reload. You may, or may not, be in for a unfruitful expedition if you move your Dream Ariel into your starship inventory while pulsing already.
You are limited to one organic frigate per system. Once you accept the organic frigate in a system, cross that system off your list. That system will never ever give you another organic frigate.
