Strange NPC play afoot in the Asteroid fields

LOL. Every time without fail, when I am Asteroid mining; those NPC mining ships just want to get in the way so you accidentally shoot them and then they are off trying to kill you. I think, 'OK, this field has room for both of us, I'll go to the other side of the field and mine'. Within 20 seconds the prick is right next to me getting in my way asking to be accidentally shot. Sometimes they get behind the rock you are mining so it can take another accidental shot. You hear them around you but sometimes you just can't see them. One time I got so peeved I took em out and waited for the patrols to come and get me and then I took them out, but had to eventually run because I'd be there forever.

This happens every single time I go Asteroid mining. A bit of unpredictability wouldn't hurt.

Its just that sometimes I want to mine asteroids hassle free because I find it relaxing and enjoy testing my new weapons.

i like mining the asteroids they're mining and taking all the loot for myself... fork them bastids for trying to mine in my asteroid field... i was here first and that's my claim flag right there... Get Off My Rocks!

This is NMS thing of trying to shove everything directly in your face (to say ohhh! look!) rather than let it do it's thing a bit away from you. Annoying.

i think it is more of a (sneaky?) method of getting more interaction and possible fights in the game... accidentally shooting a NPC ship once while mining is one thing but more than once is an act of aggression... i've shot one by accident once (maybe two shots) and not had any reaction from them... if i shoot them again within some timeframe, then they get aggroed and we have a fight... or not if i decide to run...

I don't know... me and Pete don't seem to have any problems... he does get ticked at me when I harvest the asteroid he is mining and snag it first... but hey.. it's all in good fun!
