What's the deal on the base computer passkey?
Is there a way to know the word, or is it always going to be a guess?

the words are meaningless. The game picks either the first, second or third word to be the correct answer. So you have a one in 3 chance and get to keep picking so by your third guess you should unlock it. But if there's a way to outright know the right answer, I haven't seen or figured it out yet. Personally this change isn't really fun as there's no real puzzle to it. It's just an arbitrary extra step they added that makes no sense to me

This.. It is the position (1, 2, or 3). If you get it wrong, pick a different number on the second pick.

Sometimes, a word that was wrong on the first try will be the correct word (in a different slot) on the second try.

Thanks, though I was sure hoping that I had missed a clue or the answer somewhere. I wonder whose idea of a fun addition to the game is adding a random clickfest. Annoying AF.

it replaced the timegate (2hrs?) between base archive missions...so be grateful, things can always be worse

at least timegated it had somewhat decent pacing with the rest of the story/game. There's not much stopping someone from just blitzing through the base archive missions now assuming one has learned enough words

We learned enough words previously. Trust me on that ;)

Lol...you have given proof to the 'can't please all of the people...all of the time' phrase :steamhappy:
as to the pacing...it's now in your hands...why care how fast/slow others do it?

Thank you so much! this worked like a charm

I always pick the word that is the most relevant to the type of system I'm in.
If I'm on a Vy'Keen planet, then I pick the Vy'keen words first, rather than the smaller two and three letter words.
