COMBAT SCOPE & TRIBULATIONS...
OK. I have a super Boltcaster now which is very fast and with it is the nasty bounce when firing the damn thing.

SO I understand I was once told the Combat Scope helps reduce this. I am sure it doesn't and need something to reduce it. But what if not my issue is a Combat Scope for? I pressed a manner of buttons etc and it seems to do nothing at all.

Some help would be nice please.

I never figured out the point to it. When you have it equipped as your secondary weapon and right click it kinda zooms in a little... that's all it really does that I can notice.

Combat scope is one of the first things I uninstall from a new MT.

I seem to remember the bolt caster upgrades end up with a ricochet effect for the final one. I usually just get rid of it because it is more trouble then it is worth.

Personally, I now sport the scatter blaster. It is much more effective on the sentinels...and pretty much anything else you are shooting at. Downside is the max damage is close range.

The recoil thing is just plain annoying on the boltcaster. You can amp it up to great damage IF you can hit anything.

Since killing sentinel swarms almost requires being able to take out those healers first and I couldn't hit them with the boltcaster I gave up on it.

Not really that interested in weapons but it sounds like the boltcaster is basically a shotgun?
If so, then what is a pulse splitter most like?

Bolt caster is more of a rifle/pistol with burst fire. The scatter blaster is the shotgun.

Why? What does it do and how do you use it. I thought it was automatic. I have it in every multi-tool, but then i saw that you have to select it as the secondary weapon, then all it does is zoom in. I can't see any difference with it selected or not. Please can you explain how to use it.

That zoom is what it does. It doesn't actually need to be selected, and if you own more than 1 MT, you can install the scope on 1 MT and all MT will have use of it.

The combat scope is supposed to reduce the kickback of weapons and it's by activated by shooting and holding down the right mouse button while firing with the left mouse button. I rarely install or use it.

I don't use it. Its useless, hence why I uninstall it asap.

Combat Scope is useful to both reduce recoil (steadying) and magnify the target. Each one to his own, but a supercharged, fully upgraded, scoped&steadied 3+3 Boltcaster is the best all-around hand weapon IMO. (3+3 because the Sentinel glass mods help the BC)
Give me a paralyzing Javelin for sniping, area Neuts and ricocheting Spitters for derelicts, or a Blaster for the close stuff, but on a limited-space pistol, I'll take a Boltcaster please.
