Save point blueprint?
The 4.05 patch notes says I can get it at at the space anomaly but I cannot find find it at any of the research stations.

This screenshot was taken with a hardest difficulty save. Tutorial is disabled.

Save Point is under Galactic Trade Terminal.

Edit - The research station you want is the computer construction terminal between Exosuit Research NPC and Starship Research NPC

For some reason I thought the blueprint was always at the anomaly for years now.

Yeah. I thought it was different from the one i've always had.

They should put all portable tech in it's own tab instead of mixing it in with the building tech.
Will be suggesting to zendesk.

This was added in the latest patch. It was not there before. I guess they slapped that in there to accomodate people, who disabled tutorial and had no way of learning that blueprint. I don't know if this quest line where you invite aliens to your base is part of tutorial, but there are other blueprints you can learn only from some quest line, like autonomous mining unit and some atmosphere sollectors. They're largely useless, but it's true.

I played with tutorial enabled, and didn't learn the Save Point. So I'm glad that it's back.

Ok then maybe it's from the base computer archives.

Seems like I myself need to play from the start again in this new realm to know what's what.

This helped me as well. I started a new game with the tutorial but didn't get the save point blueprint. In older games it came as part of the tutorial but I didn't get it with my new save. I did a search & found this thread so thanks!

At some point HG removed or changed one of the (base) Overseer’s missions. I was recently playing a much older version of the game, v1.65 I think & it was either the 2nd or 3rd mission they gave you the BP for the Save Point. I remember because the thing was huge, well compared to our size (this was before the VR update).

Anywho, fast forward to the previous freighter update with new rooms, etc. The expedition started you out with a save point but if you started a new save there was no way to learn or earn it. <- thus bug report & then HG added it to the Anomaly.

I mean, it is kind of redundant, considering A. your ship saves every time you get out and B. there's the Save Beacon.

Good, then try building a freighter base and rely on who-knows-when-happening auto saves or run to your ship when you need them right then and there. Then notice you messed up something and realize that last time you manually saved was two months ago at some beacon in another galaxy. Even if it's redundant to your playstyle, others need the blueprint. As a reminder, save beacons can't be placed at freighter bases.

They can't? That's kind of dumb.

The reason for it is because save beacons also work as planetary poi markers. You can set 5 on a single planet (this may have changed, idk) to mark certain spots you might want to return to and they are visible from space. That wouldn't work on the freighters, so the save point is very useful to people who like to build freighter bases. At least from my understanding, as I neither build bases nor use freighters.

@Fienyx - you are correct the maximum is still 5

That is indeed why Save Points are a welcome addition to every Freighter and I guess "you" do learn something new everyday... eh?
