Search for "No Bloom Effect" at nexusmods.com.
There are so many mods out there that make the game more enjoyable... ;)

"Note that it also get rid of all lens-flare effects but the sun one."
They added an option to turn off "Scan Lines and Vignette"
It was a real nice touch, Lens Flares, Scan-Lines, Vignette, Bloom (and even early on, the "Golden Hue") all to simulate looking out the visor of a Space Helmet but, some like myself, did not like it, that much.
Stiil has exaggerated Bloom but only with HBAO Off... i noticed it is subdued when HBAO is on High or Ultra.
They have been listening to us... i (and probably many others) have been asking for Toggle and slider controls for "everything" for years, and over the years, they have slowly but surely been adding them.
I like what they have added for controls so far and suspect they will eventually add a way to turn down or off bloom and possibly many other "user preference_fine-tuning_QOL" type update stuff.
But, maybe there are technical challenges with certain graphics effects that we are not aware of, should they allow them to be user controlled ?... stability ?... idohno.
P.s. I was pleasantly surprised when they added a technology module that allows for extra Newtonian physics during space light... super FUN!
However, am still waiting for them to eliminate or user-toggle "look-spring" with on-foot 3rd person mode, when transitioning from visor-scan view and back again to 3rd, hate the way it springs away from the place you were looking at in visor 1st person back up to level/horizon 3rd. Maybe they could simply have it stay in 3rd person when using visor ?
What's weird, it does not look-spring if you are using 1st person view... why ?
But i suspect that is why they have slowly been feeding these "preference/QOL" updates over the years since they are actually very low priority over the more important stuff that needed to be done, content wise.
