I restarted the Alone Amidst mission and eventually arrived at Calypso not Eisettam as normally I've done? Has anyone noticed that the default now is the starship not exosuit, and terrain digger not mining beam?

is this the one where you pick one of the colored icons to decide which type of galaxy you go to? Eissentam is a lush galaxy and represented by the green icon...

hunh? the default what?

You have to pick one between 4 galaxy types, if you pick the red one, you are sent to Calypso (horrible place, by the way).

i find basalt on many volcanic planets in Euclid (Galaxy 1), Eissentam (Galaxy 10), and whatever the two galaxies that Expedition 6, The Blighted, had us playing in... i think it was Exp6... i've just gotten into Xobeurindj (Galaxy 42) thanks to the anomaly's Featured Bases and have been exploring there for the last few days...

FWIW: currently, the only thing i currently know of that uses basalt is when building the Voltaic Amplifier for the multitool...

I checked literally 50-100 systems in Eissentam for volcanic planets when I needed like 85 basalt. Ran through 2-1/2 warp hypercores with three hyperdrive upgrades. I found *one* volcanic planet and it was a phosphorous world! Srsly argh! Took me like 5 systems in Calypso and I found an utterly hellish extreme volcanic world teeming with walls of fire but ... mission accomplished.

THEN.

I learned that you can go to the catalog and, assuming that you have discovered basalt (or whatever resource), you can right-click on the resource and it will set up with a mini-mission to get it nearby. lol 🤦‍♀️ Learn something new every day or week or whatever.

You are correct sir! I had a basalt mine when there was nothing to do with it. I don't know, I was in a mine building phase a while ago. Exp6 started in Galaxy#89 and ended in #90. I wish they would do more like that. Start E9 in Galaxy 254 haha.

I didn't seem to get a choice of the 4 pillars only the 1st one! I guess I can go the other lush galaxies via the space station warp points or the Anomaly.

If you interact with one pillar, you have to cancel manually and go to a different one.
