Exotic Ships
So I wanted to get myself a cool looking ship and when I was investigating I found one that interested me. On the wiki I found the "Stargate" coordinates to where the ship is but then I noticed that it's apparently in a different galaxy. My question is, do I need to go to that specific galaxy to find the ships i'm interested in or do they exist in all galaxies ? The only galaxies i have "access" to are Euclid and "Eissentam"* (or whatever).

yes, you have to be in the galaxy the coords are for...

If you find coordinates to something specific.... Yes, you need to be in the galaxy stated for those coordinates. I don't know if the same ship is in all galaxies or not, but it will be hard to find if no one has posted other galaxy glyphs to it.

That sounds kinda dumb / harsh no ? So if I want to get a specific ship I have to go to the center of the galaxy every time to change galaxies and then somehow get to the galaxy where the ship I want is in ? I don't even know if I can pick the specific galaxy I want, it's been years since I've played the game.

It's in the Zalienkosm Galaxy apparently. (0807:0080:0800:00E8 Galactic Coordinates)
You could hang out at the Anomaly portal and watch out for that galaxy when the players arrive in the Anomaly.

Check r/NMSCoordinateExchange on Reddit for many exotics. Personally I feel much better about ships I find myself. Its all about exploring after all. Though I can definitely see taking the shortcut if you don't play as much as I do (roughly 1500 hours and I've only once found a squid ship).

sorry... that's just the way it works... my response was a "bikini response"... short and to the point... i could have worded it differently... sorry...

so each galaxy has planets in different places and the coordinates don't match between them... think of the game as laid out on a huge grid of grids... each galaxy is laid over that main huge grid... star systems are laid over the smaller grids and their planets are laid over even smaller grids... nothing is in the same place between planets, star systems, or galaxies... this is why you have to be in the galaxy the coordinates are for... otherwise you may end up in a not so nice place if you use coordinates in the wrong galaxy... what happens is the game chooses a planet nearby and drops you there... certainly not what one wants...

you can switch between galaxies using several methods... but it depends on how far you have advanced in-game... i know of four ways to get to other galaxies... center jump to the next one in line, complete one of the main stories, featured bases in the anomaly teleport, joining someone's game for a ferry ride... i spoilered the ones you may not yet know about... what i do is to build a base in each galaxy i get to so i can teleport back and forth as i want to...

hopefully this helps a little bit... i've been up for 12 hours today and in-game for 6 of them... i'm beat and my mind isn't working too well... fought a lot of sentinel battles (more than 30) at one of my bases and they wore me out...
