Hello, I just wanted to give this game another chance after 5 years and started playing. Then I got attacked by some ships, I had to defend myself and these attacker just don't stop. I killed over 25 ships and they just still keep comming. WTF is this crap.

Sounds like you are fighting sentinels? That's how sentinels work, has their freighter popped in yet?

Sounds like sentinels. And sentinels in space don't "just attack". They attack when they have a reason - when you attacked them or triggered them by other means.
To stop this: Just bail and run, fly some time until you can pulse again. Pulse away. Jump to another system or fly into a Space station. Or summon the Anomaly if you're able to and land there. Or disable auto combat (auto target) in your settings, fly to a planet and land.

And don't trigger them again. Just be more careful in the future.

Yeah, I fought some pirate ships and next, sentinell ships started to attack me and no matter where I go, they keep following me.

Duck into the space station or your freighter or the anomaly.

I don't have a freighter, Well my ship was only 4 mill. I managed to escape in the space station. Gosh, had to destroy around 30 ships

hmm...fighting pirates won't trigger sentinel ships, must be something else you did.

sentinels ships engage
a) you're on a planet get a sentinel alert status and you try to fly off in your ship before the alert is cleared
b) if you're in a regulated system and shoot at freighters
c) if you shot the space station (not sure if this happens in pirate controlled systems)

You're getting an award just for the Futurama clip. Haven't laughed that hard in awhile.

Stray fire during a pirate battle hitting nearby innocent bystander freighters/frigates or the NPC ships that sonetimes join in the pirate battles will trigger Sentinels. One hit is normally ignored, but do it a couple of times and you'll get a star.

Ducking in your freighter can get tricky, especially when it gets pulled in the combat as at that moment you lost the option to dock with it, And the space station can be quite far off. So the Anomaly is the safest bet as it can be easily summoned (if you are not fighting on a planet) and let you always dock just like the space station.

And triggering them sentinels is easier done then one thinks, all it takes is one stray bullet hitting an npc freighter or sentinels that show up to fight those pirates. Now if those npc ships that show up would deal at least damage to the pirates it wouldn't be to bad. But in their current state they are more a liability and a hinder then help.

my recommendation - have a look in your log (press escape) and abandon any missions where you signed up to chase pirates. otherwise theyll keep attacking you til you complete the mission.

I might have hit something while fighting the pirates I guess. It was in space. There was a ship / freighter near by.

This happened to me when I first came back after 4 years (and I never got past the tutorial back then) a couple of weeks ago. I was like "WTF? How many of these things do I have to kill?" before realizing they just keep coming. But like everyone else is saying just run and eventually you can use your pulse engines and they stop hunting you. And if they attack when you're on a planet just use your exotool to dig a tunnel and hide out underground; they give up after 30 seconds of not seeing you or something and they rarely follow you into a hole you made.

I did that on a planet where sentinells attacked very aggressively, some dog sentinells just glitched throw the terrain and attacked me in my hole. Looks like this game still has some bugs. My Settlement gets attacked most of the time aswell. Even a huge Robot keeps attacking. Same goes for pirates. There are just toooooo many attacks going on in this game. Don't wana know how annoying it will get when you have like 10 settlements.

Same problem I had in Fallout 4. Had several settlements and 90% of the time I was doing in the game was, defending them. Guess the same will happen in this game 2.

Ah those sentinels do keep coming, I wonder if there is a way to disable them in space like how taking out the sentinel tower disables them on the planet.
